College football announcers - who are they, who do you really like?

There's never been a time when more college football games were on TV. All of these games have announcers, some we recognize, many we don't. Who do you like as announcers for the games you watch?

Thom Brennaman on CW. Games are subpar, but he makes it worth a watch. Hopefully he’ll move on to something better; although many do not think mistakes deserve a second chance.

Rece Davis, albeit less now with his GameDay duties.

I was literally about to say this. Nobody is better than Thom, he is just the best. I would place Chris Fowler or Brad Nessler 2nd.

Dustin Fox did MAC games. Always felt my mid-major team was getting the same attention as the perennial powers. He knew everything about both teams, on and off the field. He's great at setting up the next plays and series of downs without dominating the air.

Dont really care really care as long as they are not awful sort of voice.... Hate the females....just doesn sound rightand that colt McCoy's voice is just like nails on a chalkbord
Pretty much with you, though there are some guys I’m not a fan of but I’ll still watch. If it’s a chick doing the game I’m done. Instant nails on chalkboard.

Colt McCoy

He is tough to listen to..

One guy that made me not listen...Dennis Miller on MNF.

When a website is created to explain references of what an announcer talks a out ya know he sucks.

I’m okay with Gus. He does do a good job of conveying the emotion of the moment in his calls, though I believe college basketball is where his style really lends itself and shines.
Gus can be a bit over the top at times. That’s my only issue with him.

Sean McDonough is the best play-by-play announcer. He and Greg McElroy are a very good team.

Other good teams:

Brad Nessler and Gary Danielson
Chris Fowler and Kirk Herbstreit
Jason Benetti and Brock Huard
Joe Tessitore and Jesse Palmer
Dave Pasch and Dusty Dvoracek

Todd Blackledge and Joel Klatt are top-notch analysts who have so-so play-by-play partners (Noah Eagle and Gus Johnson).

Andrew Siciliano is god awful. This dude absolutely does not like Ohio State.
He’s an NFL Network guy and also the new Browns radio announcer. I’m pretty sure he was only doing college football last night because Dan Hicks was at the Presidents Cup, so NBC moved Paul Burmeister from his usual pairing with Colt McCoy to the ND game as a one-off to cover for Hicks.

He’s definitely been doing college football since last season (I thought he was terrible last year too). That was by far the worst game announcers I have ever seen for Ohio State. This clown may like the Browns but he definitely doesn’t like Ohio State.
