Colerain

We'll get a "double read" on the season in the next game-- as Colerain played (and lost) a close one with LaSalle last week. It does not look like this Colerain team is at the level that some recent past Colerain teams were.

The Cardinals took it on the beak losing 20-14 to the host LaSalle Vouchers last Friday night.
The hapless Card offense could only muster 219 total yards against the Division 2 powerhouse.
The ground attack is led by #9 QB Zac Jennings (6'2" 190lb sophomore) and #9 RB MJ Flowers (6'2" 210lb senior).
The leaders of the defense are #20 senior LB Levert Jarmon (6'0" 195lb), #21 sophomore safety Corey Myrick (6'3" 180lb) and #25 junior safety Elorm Nevis (5'7" 130lb).
The 3 combined for over half of the Cardinal tackles in the loss.
A trench battle of interest when the Bombers have the ball will be #75 in blue/white center Brian Parker (6'5" 285lb senior) vs #55 in red/black noseguard Jameer Carpenter (5'9" 290lb junior)

It will be strange to be in a half empty bird cage this Friday night and see more blue than red
Missing on the Yappi main football board is Card diehard Tofer23's "official" StX-Colerain thread with bogus predictions.
In year's past by Monday of game week the thread would have 10 pages of pics of dead cardinals, jailed inmates and various shots of Jesus in Bomber blue.
With the departure of the last of the Bolden clan many fair weather posters have flapped their wings and flown the Yappi coup, such as GoCards, GLAT, Tofer23, CardDad, Cardinals Fan, cardinalsin, flex69, LCD and colgar

I've avoided X at Colerain games in the past due to exceptionally poor seating for the visitors (one time sitting on the grass by the scoreboard was more than enough for me). Do you think grandstand seats will be easily obtainable this week?

Colerain has to do something to get their MOJO back. The football program used to be a staple of the community but it seems to be slipping fast. Just goes to show High School sports really do count for something.

If the size of the crowd they had at the LaSalle game is any indication I would say YES

Those are some great names

In just 1/2 of play Cummings with 5 tackles (4 solo) and 2 sacks

Also in 1/2 of play McCaughey 12 for 14 for 222 yards and 3 TDs

Due to a power failuer in Butler County I was forced to tune in to the radio broadcast of the X pre game show on an old transistor. One hour and fifteen minutes of a projected barn burner between the Cards and the Bombers. It was to be another epic barn burner according to the radio guys. What it turned out to be was a dumpster fire. Colerain has dropped off precipitously. Bombers look to be every bit as good as last year. Colerain looks to be every bit as bad as most people projected (except for the X radio homers) :) GBM
