Cleveland Browns 2025 Edition

Gov DeWine is being begged publicly to veto the sports loans from unclaimed funds provision in the budget bill, and the little ferret-faced fink is riding it out to the end before he signs.

If the proposal were to be for the same funds to be used to build a domed facility in Columbus, there would be no opposition from the elected representatives.

Luckily, this is all finally a done deal once and for all, despite all the faux outrage in CLE. They act like the team is legit moving, let alone in same county. Speaks volumes about our alleged COUNTY govt

What got to me was the constant opponents' arguments that the money could have been used for education or to feed hungry children. The state never had any intention of using funds for those causes or they would have used them already. As a matter of fact, public school funding was cut.

Ohio’s proposed budget would cut funding to public schools and raise voucher spending and charter school funding, according to an analysis done by the Legislative Service Commission, a nonpartisan office for Ohio lawmakers.

Public school funding would be reduced during the biennium by $103.4 million. Vouchers used for private schools would see a $265.4 million increase over the biennium, while charter schools get a $221.8 million increase in the same period.

Ronayne and Kaesy are going to cry on WTAM as the "Victims! Pay us!!" phase begins in earnest....

And Justin Bibb goes down as the Mayor that let the Browns get away without a fight.

It’s never a done deal until ground has been broken. I love football, I follow the stadium situations with the Bengals & KC who both appear to be refurbishing their current stadiums, Chicago is bouncing back & forth between refurbishing Soldier Field or moving north of the city to Arlington Heights.

If the original Browns can move, any team is susceptible to moving, especially small to mid market teams. Good for Cleveland that the Browns are staying in the metro area but the quality of horrid football over the last 3+ decades does not appear to have an end in sight.
Hey, looks like the Steelers have a TJ Watt problem.

NFL Power Rankings: Predicting the 10 worst teams for 2025 (ranked worst to best)

10. Cleveland Browns

When all is said and done this season, the Cleveland Browns will almost certainly be the worst team in the NFL. You never know what can happen when you get to the actual games, of course, and the Browns have done well with Joe Flacco in the past, but it would be a major shock if this Cleveland team was able to win more than two or three games.

If they're going to even play spoiler in more games than expected, the Browns are going to need their defensive line to really step up and take control of. games. They'll have to hope to win tight games with less than 30 total points on the board. That's just how it feels at this point with so much youth, question marks at quarterback, and an offensive line that's in rough shape.

Sounds about right. At least they’ll have their choice of QBs in the draft and another first rounder to get him a weapon or someone to protect him.

Deshaun Watson’s recent actions have prompted the Cleveland Browns to reconsider their stance on their $230 million quarterback.

“Well, that’s all changed now. He has been here every day since he had the second surgery, and he has been present in the building. The coaches have raved about what he’s done inside the building in terms of helping other guys and things like that. He’s not as much of a villain, I don’t think, amongst his teammates as he is amongst the fan base.”

Watson has been able to build a relationship with the other four quarterbacks in the room in Cleveland. That includes rookies Shedeur Sanders and Dillon Gabriel, who have raved about Watson’s input during meetings.

As the Cleveland Browns advance their plan for a domed stadium, a longstanding debate about weather advantages has emerged again.

For decades, fans believed brutal Cleveland winters provided the team with a significant home-field advantage.

However, analyst Daryl Ruiter is challenging this narrative head-on, questioning whether the Browns actually benefit from harsh weather conditions.

“The Browns have zero weather home-field advantage: 86-123-1 since 1999,” Ruiter wrote on X.

And most of us don’t get tickets for driving over 100 MPH.

He made a drastic mistake twice in a short period of time.

Don’t be shocked when he tries to force a ball into tight coverage twice in the same half, and gets picked.
Hes a rookie, it won't be shocking at all. Same goes for Gabriel.

To develop and then let some other organization reap the rewards according to cjb. Better to have an unproven rookie than a productive veteran.
Sorry. Back in the day I was a RB fan. Nothing better than handing the ball to that bellcow back and letting them do their thing. The rules have changed, though, and so has the style of play. Running the ball will always be important to football, but you don’t need to pay long term money for production. The Steelers have cycled through RBs for decades now, pretty much since Franco left, and their running game has been superior to the Browns in almost every season.

Judkins and Sampson should give them several productive seasons. When it comes time for those second contracts you draft their replacements. Rinse and repeat. No way am I giving a second contract, meaning a pricey contract, to a RB. Draft and run them to death on the cheap.

What is it with the Browns and players with character issues?

This marks the second straight offseason where the Browns have had a rookie arrested for a domestic violence charge before even taking the field for the team as a rookie. Last year it was defensive tackle Mike Hall Jr., also a second round pick.

Embarrassing franchise.

If he can’t play this year the team will go from four to five wins to two to three wins.
