Cleveland Browns 2024 Edition

Browns made their season with tonight’s game, that’s about as good as the 2024 season will get for Cleveland fans.

Maybe the best thing that could come of this game is if it prevents Cleveland from building done. Unlikely because the Browns simply seldom do the right thing and if the do the right thing, they typically do something to self sabotage it.

You have every right to be salty tonight. The Steelers somehow forgot they were playing a division game tonight and those wins don’t come easy. Watt being a no show definitely helped.

Okay. Winston making snow angels and having a postgame snowball fight with the ex-players on the Amazon crew is as good as it gets. Everyone loves football in the snow.

Not salty at all. It’s the NFL, anyone can beat anybody on any given day. Stay focused and on to the next game.

How many went to bed? :) Crazy stuff. But good for Cleveland fans. Glad I stayed up.
Me to! Once the snow started falling hard there was no way I was going to turn the game off. Snow games are the 8th wonder of the world and so damn fun to watch.

And the Browns reminded everyone that on any given Sunday (or Thursday).............................................

u dudes should tell the NFL ...NO MORE THURSDAY games....

While the Cleveland Browns are walking away with a 24–19 home win over the division rival Pittsburgh Steelers on Thursday night, third-year receiver George Pickens still isn't convinced.

"Conditions played a huge, huge part in today's game," Pickens told reporters in the Steelers' locker room after the game. "I don't really think the Cleveland Browns are a good team at all. I think the conditions saved them today."

More:

Players celebrated with snow angels after scoring touchdowns and Winston revealed it was a unique experience for him. He told ESPN after the match: "I've never played in anything like this before.

"We are so grateful to the staff for providing hand warmers and clear scrapers so we were able to go out there and do the best we can."

Oh think we all know the difference between a finesse and physical team. I think we also know the difference between a well run and crappy run franchise. So does Vrabel who will have options that will most likely be better than the Cleveland HC position.

Fields would be a wash out in Cleveland, he is a quality NFl backup but absolutely not a starting QB.

You do realize the Browns will be playing in a Dome Stadium within 5 years. The mentality of the team will change a bit as will the fans. It will be a bit more of a wine & cheese crowd and a bit less of dog mask wearing individuals. It’s too bad but it goes back to who is running the franchise…..
Who's paying for the dome? We'll see if that actually happens. The vast majority of reaction I've seen is games like that is why you DONT build a dome. 10 years from now no one will remember the score...but they'll remember being at the game with the snow falling and shoveling the field and snow ball fights and players doing snow angels.

To me there were three (probably more) that cost them big:
1) Baker Mayfield instead of Josh Allen
2) Grant Delpit instead of Antoine Winfield
3) Jed Willis instead of Tristan Wirfs

Just imagine how much better they would be with those three
Delpit has been solid and Allen is obviously better than Baker but you can win with Baker. This is a playoff team with him under center. The big mistake was blowing it up for Watson.

TJ Watt will have as many sacks as Winston has completions.

Here is a quote from Steelers Hav Mike Tomlin regarding Cle rb Nick Chubb

“Mr. [Nick] Chubb, first and foremost, just got so much respect for his game and his body of work and his capabilities. From an appreciative football standpoint, man, it’s really good to see him back, but from a guy that competes against him this week, obviously, he has our attention.”

Chubb is 29 and a free agent after this season. Will a rebuilding Browns want to sign Chubb or move on? Will Chubb be willing to give a home town discount (as he did this year) and resign with the Browns or seek a fresh opportunity with a more playoff caliber franchise? The Steelers rb Najee Harris, 26, is a free agent after this season as well. Could these two rb’s swap places next season?
Harris sucks so no thanks

Hopefully you are correct and the Browns will not be in a dome in their next stadium. If last nights game helps prevent a dome, then it was well worth it from a overall football experience.

Just one problem, you a a turd owner running the show. Seldom dies anything good happen when horrible individuals are in power with little check & balances. History shiws that billionaire owners typically get what they want & the tax payers pay for it.
