I don’t usually listen to the games on radio, unless I’m driving, but the times I listen…as well as the audio clips of the highlights I hear…Donovan has done a great job. He has always seemed like a good guy and I wish him well. I wonder who will replace him? I hope not Chris Rose. He might be local, but he’s awful. Can the dig up Gib Shanley?

Nev and then Jimmy. Tough acts to follow, just like Tom Hamilton

I was impressed by Huntley in his time with the Ravens. I would have liked to see him take the next step, or at least maintain, and be a higher tier backup. I love DTR's athleticism, but I don't understand the infatuation with him from this staff. They're the pros though, so hopefully he proves my eyes wrong and becomes a superstar like the athletic reincarnation of Kurt Warner. Watson pulls a Banks and goes down, DTR comes in and shines. Then they can cut ties with Watson and DTR will lead our Brownies, at last, to the Super Bowl!
They love DTR because they drafted him.

I have no confidence in him throwing the ball effectively more than 15 yards or so.

at least Hamilton got to call games for a team that made the World Series and Tait got to call games for a team that made the Finals. Browns gave Donovan one playoff win in 24 years.

He's so synonymous with the Browns every time I see he started calling games in 99 its the Mandela effect in my mind that he was calling games before the move.

Nev, Casey and now Jimmy. For some reason this one really hit me when I read the news. His words just seemed ominous. He didn't talk about beating cancer and getting back in the booth, he mentioned that he's called his last game. I wonder if his time is very short? Jimmy saw alot of awful football and somehow stayed positive through it all.

Forgot about Casey. Maybe the job IS cursed?

That's what I'm afraid of. :( The tone of his announcement (and the fact that he didn't go on air to give it) does not seem like a good sign.

For the opponents of the domed stadium who believe that a dome stifles noise, here is something from SI about last night's college game (USC vs LSU):

Fans in Allegiant Stadium were so loud (107 decibels, reported by ABC) Riley had to call a timeout for quarterback Miller Moss to hear the play call via the in-helmet communication.

If someone thinks a roof would stifle crowd noise, they do not understand how sound waves work.

ESPN ran a simulation of the entire NFL season and the had the Bengals and Ravens tying for first in the AFC North with the tiebreaker going to Cincy. They had the Steelers at 8-9 and the Browns at 6-11. It would be a disaster if that actually occurs.

I have the Browns at 8-9, with a ceiling of 10-7 and a floor of 6-11. No playoffs this year, even with 10-7.

The floor is 11 wins, no excuse sans major injuries for anything less. Stefanski will be unemployed if they go 8-9.

The Ravens lost last night, but they looked strong at pretty much every position group. And same as the Steelers they have an identity. You know what you’re going to get when you play them, and you have to be pretty good to beat them. No way the Browns finish ahead of them in the standings. That game last night is probably an AFC championship preview.

Bell had 38 catches in 31 games on a team not known for having great receivers. He is "just a guy."

He may have just been set off to the side for a short time to accommodate a needed pickup, to be resigned in short order,
