I find it ABSOLUTELY INCREDIBLE that the city of Stow has TWO PLAYERS OF THE YEAR!!

Congrats to Keller Moten on the DII Offensive POY and Nate Gregory on the D1 Defensive POY!

I also find it HILARIOUS that NEITHER plays for the Stow Bulldogs...

It is incredible, I had wished Nate Gregory would have went to WJ. Imagine if he would've went to Hoban? Not that they didn't obviously also have their own stud LB's.

This actually shows hope for Stow but in order for these kids to stay they need to have at minimum 5-5 record if not 6-4 having a 1-9, 1-9, 3-7 is better but without any huge games like Solon it makes it hard for kids to stay at Stow

This has to be one of the only times ever that a winner of offensive and defensive POY live in the same hometown. I’d say they both made the right choice to leave and play private.

While it's tough when Highland loses a kid to a private, I don't blame either of these two boys for leaving the Stow program. I saw them play a bad Medina team and they were terrible.

If these two kids chose to stay home and play for Stow, they may have helped add a few wins. Instead, they made the best decisions for them.
And it looks like it worked out just fine for both players.

Is Nate Gregory's dad the Stow star from the late 80s orearly 90s, Ted Gregory? If so, it's even more an indictment of where the Stow football program is when the son of a football legend doesn't go to the same school as his dad.

I believe the son or atleast brother of Nate went to Stow, do it wasn’t all a loss 😂

It's not so much an indictment of the program as much as I think this should be a concern.

There is another kid who lives in Stow that plays for Walsh and is 2nd team all-state.

If I were a parent in Stow, why would I send my kid into that program? If any of these three kids chose to stay and play at Stow, none would have won these same awards. Because coaching and school support matter. The Stow school system cares more about DEI than it does football.

My kid would go to Walsh or Hoban. I'd even drive to Cleveland like Gregory did if I needed to, but I think Walsh in my back yard would be tough to look away from.
