Does not make them wrong. I do not know why. Tell me why are there people that still think the wearing of the cotton mask helps and the six foot rule was made with scientific knowledge. National Guard troops airlifted families out of flooded communities in North Carolina as federal authorities raced Monday to assist those hardest hit by Helene, surging thousands of aid workers to Southeastern states.

Personnel rescued 324 residents in air evacuations by Monday morning following the devasting floods in the western part of the state, according to North Carolina National Guard spokesman Lt. Col. Ellis Parks.

The National Guard is a local, eg STATE resource being used here - not a federal one.

The storm hit this area on Friday/Saturday and you're bragging that "federal authorities are racing MONDAY to assist those hardest hit". Can you be more specific and show what FEMA is actually doing THREE DAYS after the storm tore through these places?

And it seems like it's been Local & State efforts that have dominated rescues and relief supplies:

North Carolina, like Georgia and Alabama, activated hundreds of its own National Guard, and the governors of Maryland, and at least 17 other states sent Guard units of their own. Three federal teams were also deployed, and supplies were being airlifted in Saturday as and search and rescue operations continued throughout the state, Cooper said.
