Cavs 2023-24

Cavs get a big lead then play sloppy, careless ball. It happens all of the time now. They don't have the heart of a champion.
 
This assistant is an idiott. Hunter and Merrill are lighting it up...eh we might win, take them out.
 
Cavs are now just 1-1 against teams currently with a winning record when Ty Jerome plays and Darius Garland doesn’t. They are 3-2 against teams with a winning record when Darius Garland plays and Ty Jerome does not.

This is why these games aren't meaningless. Garland had been struggling a bit and comes out with a big game, particularly in the 4th, and gets some confidence going into the playoffs.

They can serve a positive purpose, but there was a play in the first half where Allen went out of bounds and stepped awkwardly through a gaggle of courtside media and photographers and it looked like he could’ve easily twisted a knee or even broke an ankle. Fortunately he escaped without injury. Had he suffered a season ending injury, however, Atkinson would have been vilified for losing a starter in what the media would term a meaningless game.

Weren't you a big fan of Porter's just last year?

A fourth point guard and two season G-league player aren't meant to be NBA caliber rotation players.

One good thing about the game is that University of Akron alum Enrique Freeman got some minutes in his hometown after a solid G-league season on a two way contract.
 
Anyone have any preferences as to who the Cavs play in the first round? The Hawks would be an intriguing matchup, if only because the drama between the former Cavs and Hunter would be interesting to watch. The Bulls are probably the easiest matchup, though.

Hawks were kryptonite. Order of preference: Bulls, Heat, Magic, Hawks

If I'm seeing the schedule correctly, they get relegated to NBA TV for Game 2. :rolleyes: Last year when they did that, it meant a blackout for those of us on streaming services without BallyFanDuelEtcTV (n)
