Cavs 2023-24

They’re both still expendable if a worthwhile deal is presented. Mitchell and Mobley were, and are, the cornerstone players.
I don’t disagree … but I still wouldn’t trade them … especially last year when their value was low … it would have to be a blockbuster/know doubt type of trade.

It would have to be an amazing trade opportunity to break up this group before we see them in the playoffs with Atkinson at coach. I can’t even think of one at the moment. Certainly not for old malcontent Jimmy Butler.

100%. Cavs right now are a smooth functioning TEAM. Teams rely on talent, chemistry and trust. It would be lunacy to trade a player from this group now.

Honestly, If I were GM, and I were right now offered Jokic for Allen I would probably say no thanks. Why mess up great chemistry? These guys know their roles, share the ball, and trust each other and the coach. Let's see with this group can do in May/June/July.

Having said that, if severe injury messes things up, that could change things. {knocking wood}

I’m glad you’re not the GM. I’ll take Jokic for Allen. The Joker would easily adapt to Atkinson’s fast pace.

Jeez really? It was an exaggerated example to try to make a point about the importance of team chemistry. Obviously that trade would never be offered.

Good article hear about the reasons behind the Cavs success -

Great article - thanks. Lots of numbers which I love.

So the Cavs shoot 3's at an elite level, have the 3rd lowest turnover rate, and in the top 5 at generating turnovers. Margin of victory average is among the best in history. All while reducing the load on Mitchell (lowest usage rate of his career). Incredible stuff.

But the article also said the Cavs have had 29th toughest schedule thus far. So we should not be upset if things drop off a little. OKC should be a great test.

It'll take a certain someone all of 8 seconds to call the first loss 'embarsing' (sic). :p

I love that they've been able to limit everyone's minutes during this first half of the season. Hopefully, keeping everyone rested will help down the stretch.

Agreed.

With double digit road wins at Denver, Golden State, Lakers and Dallas on this last trip, I would hope that the critics have nothing to complain about. Those are 4 of the best in the West. OKC has won 15 in a row now, while the Cavs have won 10 straight. That should be must see TV.

Never forget that the resident buffoon started a NBA thread calling the Cavs the biggest fraud in NBA history...you can't fix stupid.

More than basketball than shooting. Try watch the movie Hoosiers.
More to a team winning 31 games than the 9th player in a rotation that averages 17 minutes a game. Try watch Paw Patrol.

P.S. Jerome is a fine backup and has been a big help. He just hasn't risen to the level of hero worship you've accorded him.

The boy has a crush on Jerome. Let him have his fantasy.

It did not lead to a bucket but instead free throws for Allen, at 7:30ish left in the first quarter was a beautiful display of passing. Garland gets the defender to bite on a pump fake, hits Wade at the top of the key for a give and go as he cuts to the basket and as the help defense pulls to cover Garland, he hits Allen for a no look pass under the basket. One of those possessions where basketball and poetry are one and the same.

OKC is damn solid and will be more so when Holmgren comes back. I love seeing teams outside of the big markets succeed.

Which ever team wins this one will earn it. Here's hoping they're playing each other in June.
