This has actually been litigated quite a bit in the courts. A lot of cities used to have rules on when you could have election signs up. Most of them have been struck down as unconstitutional. Whatever rules a city has in place governing signage has to apply to all signs and can't specifically call out election/campaign signs. You can ban election signs in your zoning code, but that also means no real estate signage, my kid just graduated from high school signage, a veteran lives here, etc.

While I agree, at some level I don't mind. It's kind of telling on yourself at this point that you're a partisan hack if you still rocking the campaign collateral into the New Year. Reminds which of my neighbors to avoid getting sucked into unwanted conversations with.
