Braun Wins Appeal; No Suspension

My apology's to the posters from outside the Queen City.[/quote For anyone wondering is Hurri-Comet really such an a-hole, please look at ''Heat 2011-2012 official Thread in the Professional Basketball forum. You will see what I mean about the posters from Cincinnati, (not all) that feel like "trolling" and harrassing are more important than sports or pro basketball here on Yappi.

Why didn't they just order another test when they found out the first one sat in someone's fridge for 3 days?

I think the MLB f*cked up just as much as Braun did on this.

Maybe because the Commisioner used to own the Brewers and I think his daughter still owns some percentage of the team...kind of suspicious to me.

The accord is that the sample must be sent in that day; whoever they hired didn't do that, so he got off on a technicalty.
If I were MLB, I would fire the company colecting the samples. Braun will always have this hanging over his head. I thought they collected 2 samples in tests like this, one to be tested and the other as a backup.
Braun was not exonerated, he got off on a technicality; being from Cheaters and Thugs U, would not be surprised if he was quilty.*

*The last sentence was in order to maintain my good standing in the Cincy Haters club; and there is a Professional basketball forum? who knew that?

Braun was smart to go through the loophole, but he is still guiltier than OJ and Casey Anthony combined.

I wouldn't be so sure about that. I don't know if Braun was innocent or guilty but there's a lot of weird stuff with this case. Apparently the guy who collected the sample passed up TWO different drop-off points on the way home that Saturday and just kept it at his house until Monday morning. And apparently when that guy testified, they asked him to state his name and it took him 37 seconds to actually say his name. He also did not/would not look at Braun the entire time. So there's definitely something weird going on there.

Also, Braun's ratio of synthetic testosterone to whatever they hell they compare it to is one of the highest they've ever seen (more than 3 times the limit that MLB allows).

Braun also took a lie detector test and passed it, and offered to give up a DNA sample to compare it to the urine that was tested to see if it was actually his or not.

Again I'm not saying Braun was innocent or guilty, but there's a lot of weird sh1t going on in this case.

MLB overturned the ruling due to the bad press of having their MVP shooting up roids.

They can't weather more steroid talk, so they just turn a blind eye...

`WE all know sports is about the $$, anyway. In my opinion, they should shoot these guys with horse uppers, much like they give the ponies before a big race.

Maybe they could even have a contest where instead of throwing out the first pitch, the winner gets to shoot up his favorite player with horse uppers...

 yeah, that's what happened.

Wtf you talking about

Only the Cincy haters hating. As usual. Braun said he was innocent from beginning. And gave offer from DNA test early on to MLB. MLB is embarrassed and so is it's testing program. Kudos to Braun.

From what I'm hearing most players around Major League Baseball are upset by this ruling. Kind of like they think the rule is only applied when convenient...

Gaby Sanchez who played with Braun at the "U" talks to him all the time all year long. They are still close friends, and Sanchez said "if Ryan had used anything he would have told close buddys he screwed up, but he never said anything but that he was falsely accused".

Take it for what it is.

It is nothing. So you are telling me you expect a guy's best friend to rat him out if he did admit to using steroids? Get real. You are a giant homer. I guess the U never did anything against NCAA rules in your opinion either. They only got smacked down with NCAA violations in the 90s. And I guess Nevin Shapiro is decent guy too? You suck.

Which is nothing, but thanks for wasting people's time.

Votto's great. The best right now. They will both be up for MVP. Braun as of yesterday, .320 B.A., 67 games, 256 AB, 47 runs, 82 hits, 12 2B, 2 3B, 20 HR, 52 RBI, slugging ave. way up, 1.019 OPS

Could have won MVP last night in KC All-Star rout. He is having outstanding season again, and without Prince to back him up in lineup.
