The following is culled from an email I received yesterday. The high from the state championship continues!

Todd Porter of the Canton Repository and Zac Jackson of Fox Sports Ohio have written a book on the Jackson High School State Championship Basketball Team. The book is titled “We Believed – Lessons Learned from Jackson’s Improbable Run to the State Championship.”

In "We Believed," you'll read about...

**How Mark Henniger came to make scoring with both hands look so easy.
**How Josh Egner worked (and paid the price) to make those two-handed dunks so memorable.
**How all hands were on deck for a magical run through March that allowed a bunch of homegrown kids from Jackson Township to take their place in history.

This story has obvious appeal to the thousands of fans who followed and rooted for the Polar Bears during their state championship run, but it's also an interesting read for basketball junkies everywhere. It's a story of sacrifice, chemistry, dedication and -- of course -- belief that culminated in the Stark County school's first-ever team state championship. It follows the key players on the team from theirearly days on the youth baseball fields to the moments on the floor and in the locker room during the championship season.
