The only real question is what’s more boring…NBA All Star Saturday night, the home run derby or the Pro Bowl skills challenge?
The MLB All Star game is the only all star game of the big three worth watching, but I think they should return to incentivizing it with home field advantage in the WS going to the winning league. One of Bud Selig’s only good ideas.

Answer - it is a three way tie. All are things I cannot watch.
The Home run derby should go back to being a fixed number of pitches. I watched a few minutes last night, Julio vs. Alonso. While Julio was amazing, his pitcher won that. Threw twice as many pitches, all in the same perfect spot. Alonso's pitcher was slow and inconsistent.
Give each hitter 25 pitches per round, with a max of 8 minutes or so.

There was a time 15 to 20 years ago when I liked watching All-Star Saturday Night for the TNT commentary, various stars, and dunk contest. But that has long since passed.
I don’t really watch any of those three events anymore. I’ll rank Pro Bowl skills challenge as the worst since never in my life have I bothered to try to watch that.

It is boring, the format is screwed up and it takes just too damn long.
Shorten it up, take away the matchups so that the top 4 then the top 2 advance rather than matchup winners advance, give them all the same pitcher and get it done before crusty old bastards like me doze off.
