I did this in 2018, but it appears I didn't do it in 2019. Shame on me!
The broad strokes on the 2021 at-large qualifiers to the state meet:
Division I Boys
Number of at-large individuals or relays that scored: 8
Highest at-large placing: Seth Elking, Miamisburg, 1600m run and Jack Defrancesco, Hilliard Davidson, Pole Vault, 2nd place. Defrancesco was 1 vault away from winning. The tiebreakers were in Defrancesco's favor until Signorelli cleared 16-10 on his 3rd attempt.
At-large berths by region:
Austintown 7, Amherst 0, Pickerington 16, Huber Hts. 11
Division I Girls
Number of at-large individuals or relays that scored: 6
Highest at-large placing: Alexis Cain, Euclid, 400m dash, 3rd place.
At-large berths by region:
Austintown 6, Amherst 4, Pickerington 18, Huber Hts. 7
Division II Boys
Number of at-large individuals or relays that scored: 9
Highest at-large placing: Cleveland Benedictine, 4x100m relay and Riley LaPorte, Garrettsville Garfield, Shot Put, 2nd place.
At-large berths by region:
Austintown 21, Lexington 4, Chillicothe 7, Piqua 4
Incidentally, both at-large qualifiers in the 4x800 meter scored with Poland Seminary placing 5th and Fairless placing 8th.
Division II Girls
Number of at-large individuals or relays that scored: 8
Highest at-large placing: Maddie Gill, Wheelersburg, High Jump, 4th place
At-large berths by region:
Austintown 11, Lexington 14, Chillicothe 8, Piqua 2
Division III Boys
Number of at-large individuals or relays that scored: 9
Highest at-large placing: Brandon Paige, Youngstown Valley Christian, 100m dash, 3rd place
