Are you fully vaccinated? Why or why not?

I saw another thread asking if you were still wearing masks, and I am curious how many Yappsters have been fully vaccinated? If not, do you plan to anytime soon? If yes, do you plan to also have your children vaccinated?

Personally, I am NOT vaccinated and do not plan to be anytime soon. I do get the flu vaccine annually.

If/when the covid vaccine is fully approved and vetted (and the long-term impact understood), I and my children will probably get the vaccine.

I got the vax. It is obviously working across the country to push herd immunity and stop transmission, hospitalizations and deaths. There is NO scientific evidence that getting the vax is unsafe and their is plenty of scientific evidence that getting covid is not safe and can be lethal for some. Thank goodness for the good of the country most people are getting the vax...sparing many lives and additional covid mandates in the fall.

You sir are a liar. There has been numerous instances of issues people have had with the vaccines. J&J for one was even stopped for awhile.

I got the double Pfizer but only because I had bought airline tickets in January to visit my son in LA in July. Got a great deal. Delta round trip 1st Class no lay overs for only $890. Normally it's $1100 round trip just for coach. But whack jobs like you were threatening to force people to show your vax card if you were flying and I didn't want to run into that hassle.

Blood clot risk for woman....so if you are a woman their is an 1 in XX million chance. (a fraction of other approved drugs like the pill)

Not getting the vax is both selfish and a drag on america's ability to get past the virus. I'll give you a slight pass if you have recently had covid because you did not believe in masks and social distancing as you would have immunity.

If everyone had that plan we would look like India in six months.

I would expect a reply like yours from someone who doesn't understand emergency approval by the FDA vs. approval.
Or doesn't understand the history of vaccines, and why it is pretty standard to have a clinical trial period of two years or
more to ensure their safety.

What about your thoughts on any child younger than 21?

I developed a blood clot on my brain at the age of 22 following my 3rd brain surgery (brain tumor)

Any doctor with ethics will agree I am at an increased risk for additional blood clots following the one I already had that nearly killed me.

The CDC says this vaccine is perfectly safe for me. That is a lie. I am at an increased risk to develop another blood clot.

I am tired of the lies.

There is no evidence because it's barely been rolled out. There's a reason these clinical trials take years. Not to mention it's a new method of vaccine.

Thank goodness that it's a virus with a 99% survival rate and rather mild for the majority who get it.

The hysteria surrounding this virus will go down in history more so than the virus itself.

You know what is selfish? Demanding I inject something into my body to make you feel safe. If you are vaccinated my status doesnt matter.

I believe the vaccine is "most likely" fine for most people short and long term.

Anyone who says there is absolutely no problems is lying and many problems are being intentionally minimized, this is a undeniable fact. I have personally heard from 2 people that said "it about killed me, that second shot, F that."

Anyone who says there are no long term side affects is just repeating propaganda and are saying something undeniably stupid "unless of course they have a crystal ball." The human body is just way too complex and the diversity of reactions is unique to every single person on this planet.
Why are people openly lying??? Why are people too dumb too notice this?

What science has shown is that if you have had the virus you have immunity around 2% better than any of the vaccines and that you also have a longer term T cell immunity....how long? "They do not treat serious covid patients with vaccinated patients plasma, only from those of us who have had the real deal.
Also, studies show that if you have had the CHINA virus your body has a greater chance of a adverse reaction in the near term and likely lower immunity long term.

Call me crazy but since I have had the Virus and know the overall survivability is 99.7% (bumping off of 100% for younger and healthy people), I choose to trust billions of years of biological evolution over band new pharmaceutical engineering and blatant propaganda...hard pass.

Just because I may choose to skip the vaccine does not mean I do not take other measures to fight viral spread.

1- diet and exercise
2- social distancing
3- avoiding crowds
4- additional vitamins

Some people have avoided vaccines for years, not just this one. They don't eat GMO' grains, or gluten or refined sugar. They exercise daily to keep the immune system in top shape. They may choose additional diet and exercise over blood pressure medications or cholesterol medications.

Happy, do you believe in chiropractic medicine (natural therapy to help repair the body vs drugs or vaccines) ?

Some people simply take a drug or vaccine to avoid the need to make life altering changes to their preferred habits. These people probably do need the vaccine.

To call it selfish to not get vaccinated is a rather arrogant position and rather short sited IMO. Those who have had Covid already dont need the vaccine, and those who have avoided getting Covid have demonstrated that their immune system is either working great or they have followed common sense methods to avoid transmitting it to themselves or others. That doesnt seem to fit the selfish definition to me.

Not vaccinated, but I recovered from the Rona just fine. I have all of those wonderful antibodies that a vaccine is supposed to produce, along with the memory cells that will protect me long term. People recovered from Rona have a 0.6% reinfection rate. People who are vaccinated have a 4-6% reinfection rate. Why in Hades would I want to take something I don't need to get something I already have?

The vax is the only thing pushing numbers down. Exercising may protect you, but if you catch and spread it to someone else you are spreading the virus. I have a good friend that had Covid (mid 50's) and he still has issues with oxygen levels as his lungs have permanent scar tissue. He was in good shape, not overweight, no pre-existing conditions and very careful with masks and social distancing. For most of you the reason you are afraid of the Vax is political or conspiracy theories you have picked up on you tube or Alt Right media.

The problem is if everyone thought like you we would be over 1 M dead by fall and look like India by winter. You get that...it is not all about you and your personal health it impacts everyone in the community and it evolves into variants with more community spread. If the virus has a 99% survival rate. the Vax has a 99.99999% safety rate.
