the post in question...

Would you rather the kid have not said anything at all, and just let a bunch of weirdos on WVTailgateCentral and the like create a spectacle of where the state's best QB would be playing week one? Because I can assure you that is far from ideal and even further from "fair" for what kids deserve.
Point is if there wasn't a rumor nobody would even know the kid

Laughable, considering the context of where he's going to and why he's being discussed over the span of five pages on here in the first place.

If he was transferring to some rando school, like, IDK, Fairview Park or Trinity, there could be a thread on here and it'd get a shrug at best.

There's far worse things a kid can post, do (or not do) if he knows he's not going to be playing week one at the school he started at. He's being recruited to play [at some level] in college. It's wise for him to candidly state he's not playing at his original school anymore for that reason. And, for his personal sake, no one with a brain or a heart that pays attention to these things wants kids to be put through some stupid circus where it's a mystery who they'll be playing for (or if they'll be playing again.) Best to stamp it out and get it over with.

Nobody said anything about playing at the next level....that's a me player and post when you are transferring to HS lol

The poster seems to be a Hoban fan so I figured he knew what he was talking about. ??

Not sure if you a referring to me, but as noted on 5/12, he was not enrolled in the 21-22 school year. Not that it matters, his transfer is complete and he will be a student in 22-23.

I'm not so sure about that. Back in February when the news of him transferring to Hoban started leaking, one poster here was calling him by his first name. And even getting the spelling right! ??
It’s not like the kid has been a 3rd string QB and nobody in the country knows about him. It’s weird that someone like yourself that posts daily about high school sports, you would think you would know something about what you post about. Alas…

"...huge chunk of the VASJ roster...?". :ROFLMAO: ???
According to the OHSAA via cleveland.Com article....

"Cleveland VASJ HS violated bylaw 49, recruiting when it's head football coach had impermissible contact with numerous student athletes that were attending his previous school of employment."

"Any student who transferred to VASJ from the coaches previous school and who played for the head coach during the 2020 season has been ruled ineligible for 1 year from their date of enrollment, unless the recruiting can be rebutted." "The OHSAA office is working with the school....ON....EACH....INDIVIDUAL....STUDENTS....ELIGIBILITY."

Also, according to the author of the article....he states, "In August, multiple VASJ players said their roster grew from about 60 to 105 members since last season."

He won the appeal....also it was previous 8th graders going into 9th grade where Rotsky made the headway

Thanks for including this part. So any kid that played for Rotsky at Euclid in 2020 was ruled ineligible for the 2021 season at VASJ unless recruiting can be rebutted. So for you to insinuate that he took 45 players from Euclid to VASJ seems pretty ridiculous.

I simply posted what the article stated, i didnt once say he took 45 players from Euclid....look up the definition of "numerous" though. If he was in touch with "numerous" players from Euclid....and the roster jumped from 60 to 105....60....to 105....
