And the Decline of the Pittsburgh Steelers Has Begun

It's hard to be a fan of someone for who they are at a time that you don't know about who they are. And I've said it before, had they benched Tebow, I would've rooted against Denver. Tebow hasn't really been a part of real losing in Denver so there's really no ground for your argument to stand on.

Chazz, it's so easy to lie when you're typing and no one can see your face. But no one is buying your lies. You paid no attention to the draft then? Didn't watch any coverage on the NFL during Tebow's first season? I never said Tebow was part of their losing. But if you are a Tebow fan, you root for him and his team whether they are winning or losing. You only do it when they win.

Wait, what?! You are just loaded with assumptions that don't even have a shred of truth to them. First, I don't get to see as much coverage of the draft every year as I'd like. Second, what little coverage I am able to see, I focus on the Browns. Second, I've defended Tebow on this very website after losses. I have no idea what you're on, but from the dung you're just pulling out of thin air, it seems to be extremely potent.

I don't understand why you keep lying? Especially since you don't care what anyone here thinks?

But funny joke Chazz. Whenever the Broncos lost this year you disappeared until they won again.

Hopefully this is true. I'd rather watch cousin ers make the playoffs over the ratbirds or squeelers. But who am I kidding? Steeler fans are cousin ers too.

I think he is more of a Tebow bandwagoner, than a Broncos bandwagoner, but he IS a Baltimore Ravens bandwagoner.

Not so sure about this on the defensive side. Yes, they may have some young guys ready to step up and take their place but will they be the same type of impact players?

Hampton is some VERY big (literally) shoes to fill. 330-350 lb space eating nose tackles for a 3-4 don't grow on trees.

As I've said before, I think they should still be successful but they will be more of an offensive team with a "so so" defense.

do they have enough offense to win with a so so defense especially if they are going back to a more ground based attack ?

everyone is under the assumption that because they changed offensive coordinators, that this means they are going back to the "ground and pound" offense, where the ratio was like 55:45 or 60:40, run:pass. that just won't happen with Ben and the weapons they have around him.

they'll probably be a little more balanced, but i think they'll just be a little more creative in how they do things. hopefully Haley finds a way to:

1. run effectively at the right times.
2. protect Ben and give him better, quicker options in the passing game (meaning everyone can't be running 10 yard+ routes)
3. find some more effective ways to score in the red zone, which is something the Steelers struggled mightily at this past season.

Pittsburgh isn't known for it either. Check the southern part of WV and the entire state of Kentucky. It's not even worth trying to get into a discussion with you on anything pertaining to the Steelers because all you do is revert back to this so-called 'bandwagon, hillbilly fan' argument and lump every Steeler fan into that category, which makes you about 10 times as bad as a Browns fan. Your hypocrisy is now at an exponential level. You act like you're objective about your opinions, but then you continue to call out every Steeler fan as looking at everything through their 'black and gold glasses' and calling them hillbillies, then posting pictures like the one above.

And you want people to take anything you say seriously on here at all? Actually, I don't think you WANT them to take your opinion seriously at all just so you can revert back to your 'bandwagon, hillbilly' argument that every Steeler fan seems to be.

It gets old. It is old. It doesn't fly anymore. Take your act somewhere else, please.

You are close to Chazz level with all this, and I never thought anyone else on here could come close to being that low.

a great number of Steeler fans are bandwagon fans. those bandwagon fans can keep waving those stupid towels. the team with the most fans groups is the Browns despite the garbage that has been on the field for most of the last 48 years. thats loyalty.

it was mentioned NE, GB etc. get away with having bad defenses...the Steelers are not that explosive. theyve stayed on top because of a top 5 defense. if that D becomes middle of the pack they have no where near the same success.

i will admit that the Steelers probably have some "bandwagon" fans, of which i am NOT. however, to counterpoint that, you pretty much don't have "bandwagon" fans unless you are WINNING. i have met plenty of Patriots and Packers bandwagoners these last few years.

there's a reason that the Browns don't have "bandwagon" fans. you stated it above.

it's the same reason the Pirates (of which i have been a fan of my whole life) don't have "bandwagon" fans.

except that my Pirates have a longer stretch of futility than your Browns and it doesn't seem to be changing anytime soon.

that's what the new offensive coordinator has been brought in to change. if he can utilize the weapons they have more effectively, then it won't matter if the Steelers Defense slips from 1 to 10 next season. they will make up for it.

Despite the fact that he lost his starting job last season, he's been a big part of the core there in Pittsburgh. This symbolizes the end of an era, as you can mark my words, represents the decline of this organization.

They may have a down yea, but the Steelers are one of the best orginizations in sports. They will be fine. Great owner, great coach, great starting QB. They are fine.
