#6 Wapakoneta at #3 Bellbrook

Bellbrook 28
Wapak 21

3: 30 left in 3rd Qtr. Wapak fumbles and BB capitalizes with a TD. Sounds like Wapak is selling out to stop the run and is leaving receivers wide open in the process.

Bellbrook 42
Wapak 35

3 min. left Siefring with close to 150 yds. receiving, maybe more. Both teams together over 900 yds of offense - guess.

Both teams did what ever they wanted to offensively unfortunately for Wapak a fumble and not converting a 4th and 1 at BB 21 was the difference in the game.

Not surprised to see Wapak exit in week 2 this year considering how down they were compared to previous Wapak teams, but still frustrating to see them lose a winnable game. 1 turnover proved to be the difference.

Well that and giving up 42 points ??

Was at the game, refs did not play a role in the outcome. Bellbrook is very disciplined, well coached team. Difference was Wapak’s inability to stop #1 (really good player), really poor clock management late in the game and one turnover. The touchdown right before half hurt also, Wapak had a chance for an easy interception but another player knocked it away, Bellbrook ended up scoring and changed the whole complexion of the game.

Bellbrook's quarterback showed a ton of grit last night.

His family suffered a devastating house fire Thursday night. To put on such a disciplined performance on the field after such a trauma shows a lot of maturity, especially for a sophomore.

Good luck to him and all the Eagles next week for the rematch with Tipp.

This was the 3rd most amount of points Wapak's offense has scored this season. I'm a bit surprised about that and that this game was as close as it was, but glad to hear it was a great game. Wapak represented the WBL very well and wish Bellbrook the best next week against Tipp.

Wapak fumble and the slip on 4 and 1 was the game killer both defense couldn’t stop each other and those 2 plays put them in the driver seats. Shame our defense couldn’t play like the offense this night

God bless that young man and his family. I'm very sorry to hear that.
