This is an unprecedented level of work; well done, Worm.

Thank you! I have several of Harding's memorable series broken down this way. Haven't had much of a reason to post Eds, but after I posted the Cleveland info, a few people on my Facebook asked about the record against the Eagles. Figured I'd strike while the iron was hot, lol.

I remember us taking a thumping in 2004 at Mollenkopf and Alex Boone absolutely destroying his man, #58 maybe, and then getting the win back from a forfeit. I can’t remember why, though. I also didn’t want to hear the name Haruki Nakamura for a long time after the 2003 game in Lakewood. The announcer must’ve called his name 15+ times. Later, I enjoyed following his career while at UC and in the NFL.

Harding will seek back-to-back wins over the Falcons for the first time since the 2018 & 2019 seasons. Doing so would knot the overall series at 19 wins apiece.

Box score & Warren G. Harding football highlights from last night's playoff game against Austintown Fitch.

Tough end to the season, but a fun ride nonetheless as Harding's eight wins are the most that the program has had since the 2018 season. I told everybody that my guy Matty Rich was the man for the head coaching job and with the staff that he has in place, the talent that we have coming back, our strong leadership under athletic director Rick Shepas, and the steady improvement of the facilities, things will only continue to get better moving forward!

To all of the departing seniors, thank you so much for your efforts! I wish you nothing but continued success and no matter where your lives take you, "Worm will always be in the stands yelling" for you.

Worm02,
Have you seen the 2025 WGH football schedule?

I wonder if Matty Rich can get Maurice Clarett, Mario Manningham, or Prescott Burgess to come help coach with the program. That would be huge

Chaz Coleman has officially committed to Penn State!

Over the last few days, Warren G. Harding’s class of 2004 have been celebrating their 20th anniversary class reunion. Here are some nice varsity football facts about their class…

1. They went 36-4. The wins (most) and losses (fewest) are both school records for a three-year span.

2. They were 3-0 against Canton McKinley. They share that distinction with WGH's classes of '54, '55, '60, and '03.
-2001: WGH 57, McKinley 9 (McKinley entered game 7-0)
-2002: WGH 38, McKinley 7
-2003: WGH 45, McKinley 21

3. They went 3-0 against Massillon.
-2002: WGH 31, Massillon 27
-2002 (State Semifinal): WGH 21, Massillon 20 (OT)
-2003: WGH 31, Massillon 15

4. They never lost to a Steel Valley Conference opponent (Austintown Fitch, Boardman, Cardinal Mooney, & Youngstown Ursuline).

5. They went 21-0 at home. Once again, that’s a school record for a three-year span.

Looking at Joe Eitel, the 01 year also didnt lose to a SVC team. And 00 wasnt a banner year for Harding, but they were undefeated at home that year.
Looks like the 1st home L in the 21st century was Butchel in 05
Pretty nice run
