So it looks like OHSAA lost a little bit on the championships after you count in overhead. It appears attendance is continuing its downward spiral.

Second largest. Hard to believe with Alter playing in their own backyard they could not get. More than 3,200 to show up.

I think the tournament has lost some luster with the increased divisions and the extra week. If you want to keep the 7 divisions fine, but it needs to be semis Thursday or Friday, Finals Saturday. If you have to do Wednesday fine. But you just lose so much momentum with the extra week.

Amen Brother 14 Red. To me the single biggest mistake is to have the high school kids spreading out the tournament while NCAA is doing 3-4 game tournaments last week and 4 nights again this week. Talk about losing fan momentum! Not the least if which is the kids do not need to go through another week of pressure and tension.

I just think back to my days growing up in Indiana, where up until the 90's, the state semifinals were in the morning and ealry afternoon, and the winners played the state championship that same night! Two games in one day? Now they play one game a week???
