2025 Massillon Tigers

This is who I would hope takes the duties
If I know anything about Manny, he wins games. I’ve watched him since the 7th grade. I don’t know the other kids record. Just saying. The kid can play. Better hope he doesn’t leave and come back to bite us.

Winning games against a mid level middle school schedule and against a high level high school high school schedule are two different things but agree the kid can play a little bit. The Fr. looks solid too.

Like I said I've watched him since the 7th grade. He can play more than a little bit, that's being a little harsh don't you think? I know he's had a pretty solid HS (Fresh, JV, Varsity) career thus far. It will be an interesting offseason to say the least. Just my opinion.

“Can play a little bit”= he’s solid so not meant to be harsh. I’ve seen the kid play for a while and I think he has talent. But that’s not based on beating Perry MS. Going to be an interesting offseason for a lot of programs that ended their season in a disappointing. I’m looking at Glenville, Hoban, Massillon, and St. Edward. And two of those schools open up the season against each other so they’re won’t be any easing in, but that’s just they way winning programs like it!!!

The grass isn’t always greener on the other side. I’m sure when Shawn Crable pulled all three of his boys out of Massillon he never envisioned Massillon winning state, none of his boys winning a state title at Hoban and him coaching at McKinley.

His kids were great players. I wish they stayed here. Just saying there’s no place like Massillon. Moore’s proven year after year the best player plays.

He sat a returning two year starter at QB for the better player. He doesn’t play favorites, he just wins games.

That’s a damn good point. I give Moore playoff for ducking us (but not anymore!) but I never thought about this. He literally refused to promise a job to the son a Massillon legend and replaced his two year starter. Meanwhile we swap our QB in the state semis for the son of a Glenville legend and the results weren’t great. GREAT point on more and A LOTTTTTTT of coaches should follow his lead, play the best players. Ironically that we’ll be tested next season at the QB position for you guys.

Rocket grad, You should transfer your boy and some of his friends to Massillon. You know there's nothing like the experience and opportunities to play here. Just sayin.

Probably best move for Shawn all his boys are in or going to college and that’s the end goal. If I recall one of his son’s teams beat us.

IMO he's way too small he's the size of a 7th grader. He will get hurt if he don't put on some weight

I’ve been as high on Manny as anyone the last few years and there is still time for a growth spurt and with the work he puts in lifting he can put on weight but yeah I’m kinda with ya here. He’s in the same boat as Slaughter in that he got the short end of the stick genetically and he’s even smaller than Jalen was at that age.

Really manny don't look bigger than 130-140lbs to me. Arms look the size of a 12 year old no offense
Manny is 145-150. It’s the same build as Slaughter just lanky kids that have a hard time putting on weight or muscle. But he does have a serious arm, like MT3 said we need a running threat at QB so I would bet we might see a 2 qb system again next year. Unless of course someone really takes over in the summer. I guess it is only December 😂😂😂

I thought Slaughter was 165

I just won’t be surprised if by next July Haines is 6’4 190lbs and coach has the thought: well I know he has running ability and also has a solid arm so I can work through the growing pains and by the time you get to the homestretch of the season he has turned into a very capable QB

I'm sure Manny is good ,I just have never seen him in any game except varsity when he comes in, and last time I seen him in the playoffs he threw 2 interceptions in his last 3 throws. I never got to see him in JV action
