2025 Massillon Tigers

With the right person, whoever that may be, McKinley very may well be a sleeping giant.
The talent isn’t there like it was in the 80’s and 90’s. They are begging for open enrollment but that isn’t going to help them, they have had a ton of transfers the last few years and nothing has changed. They have tried coaches that had nothing to do with mckinley and that didn’t help and now they had a coaching staff full of ex bulldogs and that didn’t help either. This reminds me of the Rose, Shepas, Stacy and Hall eras, just way too much politics and parent issues with coaches bowing down to them trying to make everyone happy.

What I'm really curious about is what our coaching staff is going to look like next year. I'm hearing a lot of new faces will be on board next year. It's just all talk right now. I have no insight on who may be doing what or what coaches we might get. I'm pretty positive that Hackenbracht, Weber, Wood, Simon are all possibly done here. Nothing for sure just hearing rumblings
I know 2 of the above are done, that was pretty well known early in the season.

This can set your program back years. It's tough to juggle everything as a Head Coach. On the field is hard enough and then if you have those issues it's a lose lose situation

I believe that your information is correct. I just hope we hire quality replacements, not take the easy way out and hire just anyone.
I definitely agree. Not just because my kid is on the roster but just going forward long term for this program. Now isn't the time to start going backwards. I also don't know who will be available to get to come here. Do they need a teaching job? Just things that can factor into it all. Fingers crossed we get some quality guys in here

I have too actually, but I don't get it to be honest. Why would he leave Hoban for this Canton McKinley? In the 90's I get it. Today I don't. Guess we will see

The one reason (and maybe only) is that there is there is literally no where else to go but up. They have internal and community issues, but a large enrollment in which a talent pool could potentially be developed.

You wouldn't think it would be that difficult to identify a program or person, with a proven track record in a particular function or position group, and then go get that person. A lateral move to Massillon is a pretty good promotion career wise.

That's a fair point. And it's not impossible to find the right person per se for that job. But they've had a few guys that I thought were possibly good for the job and they ran them guys out. Stark county will be interesting this offseason with a couple head coaching jobs open and our own staff which seems to be going into somewhat of an overhaul

It’s no wonder there are issues over there, this guy needs to step into reality….

“McKinley football is always going to be important,” Bogdan said. “It is always well supported. The facilities that we have are unmatched anywhere in a high school program. The resources we have are unmatched, as well.”

Then of course Massillon is always the one who doesn’t have any class 🙄 yet you have someone like that in his position and he can’t even say Massillon. 9 in a row loser !!!

“We play that other school Week 10 every year; that has been very, very good. Those are the measuring sticks we use.”

Facilities are unmatched 😂 😂 😂 😂 Massillon has a pretty nice indoor too and as far as a stadium ALOT of Texas highschool stadiums make Benson look like a dump. Really not even their facility, they are just permitted to play there.

Consider the source. It doesn’t matter who they pick as their new coach, things will be the same on October 25, 2025.🐅

Hack made it known before the season that is was his last, really going to miss him.

Weber too.

Wood kind of doesn't surprise me, seems like he never stays anywhere long, besides that his play calling sure didn't help us when we needed it most.

Simon can make sure he takes his sledge hammers with him.

What bothers me the most is all 4 were former TIGERS.

Go Tigers

Hack said this was his last year months ago. Want to follow Tyler in college.

Yea I kinda figured that after I said something with Hack. Weber I was pretty sure about as well. Wood I wasn't sure about and Simon is now news to me. But with Simon that's not a for sure thing just hearing rumblings
Was Simon the Oline coach too this year? If he was just the D-line Coach can't say too much bad about him because our D-line has been great the last few years

He switched to the OLine this season I seen a post about it in the summer

Whoever coaches the OL next year… whether it’s Simon or not… has their work cut out for em that’s for sure.
Yea we gotta get guys going now in the weight room and working on there feet. There are all types of ways to work on their feet. But someone needs to get in their butts and find out who wants to play next year.

This also goes for everyone. Don't just assume you have a starting spot....

There is that 30 day period where you can't have supervised workouts....a good way to tell who wants to play is....who is in there working out anyway.

December 23rd....but mine hasnt stopped but for about a week to let his body and injuries heal up as much as possible in a week. He started December 1st. Lost a little weight already which he needed to if you knew what his real weight was....and working on agility, flexibility, and strength training. Also will be working on something else to have in the back pocket. The rest of the boys, I hope they've been working too. Some probably will take time off but no way mine will other than what he did. I know some play basketball and that's ok just get in the weight room still. Btw GREAT game Gio Jackson against Mentor! Go Tigers! 🐅
