Wouldn't matter how we would move the ball on Hoban had we moved on because we would of never played Hoban
Hoban defensive line was not nearly as big, strong and good as it had been the last several years. There were other teams that ran the ball effectively on them Walsh game 1, team from Maryland, StEds. Lake.True. Just saying… Avon moved it well against them, maybe we can glean something off it.

True I understand what your saying. We might of moved the ball well on Hoban too. We didn't last year but Hoban has nowhere near the defense this year. When we played them they had 9 out of 12 starters back, they were loadedTrue. Just saying… Avon moved it well against them, maybe we can glean something off it.

True. My point was totally different year and different teamsAvon moved the ball on Hoban last year too, with a back up QB.
Was thinking the same thing when the 2025 thread was made today on here, Manny runs better then Slaughter but isn’t very big at all.I never want to see Massillon with a pocket passer only QB again lol
You can choose to see it that way or see it is Ohio is home to the largest, most passionate and greatest fan base there is.The circle jerk begins.
And you're the pivot man.The circle jerk begins.
Haines is about 6’3 170 right now and has 8 months to put on some weight. Was thinking the same thing when the 2025 thread was made today on here, Manny runs better than Slaughter but isn’t very big at all.
If he can throw at a varsity level I agreeI think coach’s son might have something to say about that too.
He has a lot to work on to be a potential Massillon varsity starting QB. Nothing against the kid, but I'd rather see him pUT some weight on and play the edge on D.I think coach’s son might have something to say about that too.
Yes, but only scored 14, this year 35. Also last year no team scored over 14 points against Hoban. This year they gave up 4 games of teams scoring 35, 28 21 and 20 points. They also last year rushed the passer and stopped the run a lot better. Gave up very few big gains. This year gave up a lot of big plays. Bottom line Avon was the better team this year and I am pulling for them to win the state championship.True. My point was totally different year and different teams

This is who I would hope takes the dutiesHaines is about 6’3 170 right now and has 8 months to put on some weight.
Well I said Massillon might of moved it on Hoban this year and said that was a different defense Avon played your response was Avon moved the ball last year too with a backup QB. Make up your mind now your saying oh they only put up 14.Yes, but only scored 14, this year 35. Also last year no team scored over 14 points against Hoban. Hopefully he’s ready. At least there will be a competition for the spot and they’re pretty much all starting from the same spot so may the best one win. This is who I would hope takes the duties

Back up quarterback or not Avon wouldn't have scored more than 14 last year off of Hoban's defense. Hoban's defense last year was great. Remember Massillon in the state championship game only scored 7 points and that only came after the Hoban punter dropped the snap from center and got the punt blocked then a few plays later on a 4th and 9 Hoban lineman sacked the quarterback but grabbed his face mask giving Massillon a new set of downs on Hoban's 12 yard line. They scored a few plays later. Yes Massillon would have moved the ball on Hoban's defense this year. Would they have beaten them? It is hard to say because of everything I have been reading about Massillon this year they committed a ton of penalties and often played sloppy, undisciplined football. Yeah I think it would of been a toss up game this year with a slight edge to Hoban because they don't average 105 yards in penalties a gameBack up quarterback or not Avon wouldn't have scored more than 14 last year off of Hoban's defense. He deserves an opportunity.I think coach’s son might have something to say about that too.
