2025 Benedictine Bengals

Nick's journey at Padua has truly been remarkable. It's clear he has grown immensely. While he didn't initially want to leave Benedictine, he felt he wasn't given a fair opportunity to prove himself as a starting QB there. I can't wait to see what he will do against a formidable TCC team.
The Benedictine Bengals had an impressive season, and there's so much to be proud of. Go Bruins!
no one cares about him anymore

TCC SENT YOU HOME. Nice run though.

Just an observation.....Out of 28 final four teams only 6 are Catholic schools. One , Glenville, is a off shoot of a public school and actually should be called Ginn Academy.
The final four in Div lll three teams are Catholic.

I'm a new Padua fan, not a grad, but my 4th kid goes there after having our first 3 go public. I'm new to this whole parochial school thing though I had a very good friend that went to Benedictine in the 1980s and always thought highly of the school. He's a brilliant engineer today.

Great game between two of the top three D3/R10 teams last week. Could've gone either way like our game the week prior at Buckeye. I don't think either of our teams were in the same league as TCC.

I see Padua and Benedictine play in 2025 during the regular season. Hopefully we can get past the pettiness surrounding the B-to-P transfer QB whose antics weren't universally appreciated by either of our fan bases and talk about both school's great academic and football programs.

Long season ahead for the MOB. There really isn’t any talent on this roster.

Unfortunately this thread is a shell of what it used to be. Hoping we can get some classiness back. And classiness is not the same thing as political correctness, you can still call a spade a spade, but don't do it behind some ridiculous name and affiliate yourself with Benedictine. It's not helping anyone.

Agree. My Grandson being attacked on Yappi/Social Media is pathetic. Be better Men Of Benedictine.

That’s correct. Padua sent the Bengals home. And some Bengals fans got real salty.
But there is zero reason for you to get on a 2025 Benedictine string and post anything. Creating new account after new account is so transparent. Especially after what your son and grandson did after the game against Bene. It was a bad look on the family, and you continuing this under the guise of being a 'nice grandpa' is a bit ridiculous. Also, it was the Padua RB that won games for you, not the QB.

Let it go and move on, Mr. Barker.

The MOB needs to move on. This is pretty sad. I can’t wait until we come to Benedictine and embarrass you guys in basketball. Padua will dominate you all for years to come. I’ll buy you a popcorn.

Man, you gotta lay off the bottle. You're just proving the type of family you are. You must be so proud of your name. Maybe change your name to Love so that it actually means something.

And go have another Genny Cream Ale.

I take it you don’t want the popcorn, son?
Go ahead - respond and I'll let you have the last word. Man, I am so glad you left Bene because you are so toxic that I'm sure the kid is as well. Actually, I asked a few kids about him and it's pretty clear where he gets it from now.

Yesterday, I mentioned (in another thread) that Benedictine improved their won total +6 from last year. How much of that is attributed to the addition of strength coach Mike Winkler?

Here’s part of my post…

“From the time he hired in 2014 until his last day in 2023, Archbishop Hoban won five state titles in football (2015, 2016, 2017, 2018, 2020), two in boys golf (2020, 2024), one in boys basketball (2023), and once in girls soccer (2015).

Wink's formula took the entire school to another level and now, Cleveland Benedictine (where he's at now) won six more games this season than they did in 2023. His absence probably didn't effect Hoban too much this year, but will be interesting to see how they fare in the future. Look at the slow decline of Cincinnati Colerain after Coach Kerry Coombs left in 2006 for the NCAA level. Yes, that was a long time ago (though it seems like only yesterday, lol), but who thought that we'd see the day that the Cards would go 2+ years without a win? I doubt that Hoban ever sees that level of a falloff, but time will tell if their success is sustainable without Wink.”

I forgot to ask if anyone knew how Rock Hill's brother performed this season for the Bengals?

We did only hire coach Wink in August so I’m hoping that the “Wink effect” will give us another leap in 2025

I stumbled on this thread to see what's up in Bene land, only to find this Barker dude being a douche. I have absolutely zero skin in the game. I only love to watch drama unfold. And holy moly, did I find DRAMA!! The other string about your game was hilarious. "Vindicated Glory" - LOLOLOL. Started texting at like 3am after what I'm assuming was plenty of alcohol.

And then on this string he returns with - 'respect nick'!?!? Dude, get a life and understand that you are a CLOWN. But please, keep typing because it's almost better than a Seinfeld episode.

GO BRUINS! It was just a great moment to see Nick, and Conner stick it to the Bengals. And send them HOME. We are Padua Proud! Also, I am not related to Nick. Just someone close to that situation.

Can someone explain to an outsider what in the hell went on with Bene and Padua guys?
Look at the social media! Nick was being attacked. He did nothing wrong. He simply left Benedictine because he felt he should be the starting QB or at least have a fair shot at it. So, he felt he should take his talents to Padua. Looking at the statistics , and how badly Padua beat up Benedictine, Nick is the best QB. Furst is solid, but he's not Nick. Padua Proud! Go Bruins! The MOB need to grow up and stop the name calling.

Best,

Wade Punnybone

Nothing. Don't respond to Nick or his dad. As soon as he came out and said he wasn't them, it only solidified more that it is one of them.

What happened is what happens at a lot of schools. Nick came to school and was beaten out for a starting spot by Kaltenbach. Then, he was getting beaten out by Furst, so he transferred and burnt a lot of bridges on the way out. I didn't like the online stuff back then, but judging on how he and/or his dad has reacted online recently, it looks like a lot of it was justified.

Gotcha.. you seem like a very stable guy.

You're just jealous Barker left for Padua, and then you guys also get burned by Kaltenbach 😂 Who else will transfer out over the summer?

Way too much negativity on this thread. Some people need to get a life.
Here are some 2025 dates for some of the biggest Pool Tournaments-
