2024 Toledo Central Catholic Football

True story. And you all would laugh if you knew who the recent grad was (think son of CC's largest benefactor). Obviously, the kid acted alone as CC needs nothing from SJ but weird nonetheless.
I knew it had to be him. Dots connected perfectly but really confusing as to why he did it.

Somehow, St. John's often plays Central tough. In fact, the last TRAC loss to a school other than Whitmer was to St. John's in 2017. I think Central will take care of business: 35-0.
If I'm not mistaken, this was the only loss Central had to a team not named Whitmer in their entire time in the TRAC.

You're missing the 2018 postseason victory for the Irish 35-0.

Good win in a flu-game over an athletic OLSM team, but man this team needs to reel it in with the unsportsmanlikes. The one weakness we have is our FG kicking and we made a chip shot XP turn into a 30 yarder because of a braindead taunting penalty after the TD.

Onto Irish Knight week against Bancroft. I think this'll be the closest it gets since the 2019 Irish Knight game and Bancroft gets within 20 points. On the other hand, the winningest team they've won against right now is 5-3 Clyde, so that could all be thrown to the wayside.

I spoke with someone about the unsportsmanlike after the TD. He told me that the Irish player who stood over the OLSM player wasnt being menacing. He just happened to look down at the player and it looked bad. There wasnt any bad intention. I didnt see it, so I dont know.

Second to last play, not too sure about that. He walks over to him and looks down and the entire team has to push him away.

Hmm. The version I was told differed. Probably deserved the flag then. I'm just glad Moody hit the XP.

Lindke has to be in top consideration for area coach of the year. He has completely reinvigorated a dormant program. That said the Frannies are simply not on Centrals level at this time. 35-14 Irish
It’s either him or Brungard. Very impressed with what Anthony Wayne has become

Central Catholic -25.5 at Bancroft +25.5

The streak becomes old enough to drink, but Bancroft beats the spread.

I was at tonight's game. St. Francis came to play! I was told by some CCHS staff that some of the players were taking the game lightly. Winning 22 in a row can do that. So the team may have had a bit of victory disease.

Overall St. Francis was way more aggressive on defense. Central couldn't get anything going.

The big play was the fumble near the end of the first half. Central got the TD, barely, with like 1 second to go. When St. Francis tied it late in the 3rd, I thought we'd be in for a doozy of a 4th quarter.

Sharard Vaughn really bailed the Irish out. He had two huge catches on the go ahead drive.

Congrats to Beydoun for coming off the bench and leading Central to the win. Fox was either hurt, sick, or both. He definitely wasn't 100% and it showed.

I'm curious about next week's game against Mona Shores, the #2 team in D2 in Michigan. I'm wondering if Central will play the starters the whole game.

Well, Central will likely be D2 next season so 2-8 luthern west can get annihilated by Benedictine or Medina Buckeye next season instead
And I ask the question again. Why not D1? You guys can't compete with Mentor, St Eds, & Whitmer in region 1? You are a top 10 team in the state. Play in the big boy playoffs....

You are asking me that like I’m a member of Central’s athletic administration or coaching staff. I’m just an alum. I would absolutely go for moving up to D1 next season, but I’m dealing in reality and that is Lutheran West is unfortunately going to get obliterated next friday and as of right now Central will be D2 next season

2-8 Lutheran West heading over to take on the Irish is about as strong an argument as possible against the expanded playoff

Don't open any envelops return addressed St Ignatius.

LW might have said the same thing last basketball season, too many teams? :D

Opining my usual on the topic, this benefits the stronger teams so they can schedule to prepare their players for college without risking play-offs. I believe any team can beg off so if TCC is worried about a few Lutherans on campus, then you can give them a call.

Lutheran West has a pretty cool looking logo and helmet
