NOT GOOD!!Now jimmy donovan passed away. What a cruel year for people 2024 has been. Was lucky enough to meet jimmy at a father son breakfast at Ignatius in then9os, a great great man. Coughlin Restifo and Donovan in the same month. Just wow
AH!Oh Canada
You do not even know me; if you did, you wouldn't have made that dumb comment. Enjoy your life; I'm done with you.send a pm to the new poster footballdad, his son is not getting enough play time and he can't comp[rend english!
I knew Chuck and Nick since 1967, great men, yes they would not tolerate #27.
I Do not want to "know" you! ThanksYou do not even know me; if you did, you wouldn't have made that dumb comment. Enjoy your life; I'm done with you.
Amen. I can't stand all this 'sympathy" from non-SI folks. Kick rocks.Ignatius wants and deserves zero sympathy. We are talking about a wealthy school with advantages over almost every school in the state.
It’s now a matter of choices coming to roost:
Kids choosing other schools to play football
Choices in leadership
Choices with scheduling.
The only direction is up but that is going to take better choices and probably years.
And I remember being shocked at a 5-5 or even 4-6 season. At least then the following seasons were better. 1-9.
The sports program is still very good; the football program is not.Amen. I can't stand all this 'sympathy" from non-SI folks. Kick rocks.
Sounds like no effort is put into the program. Parents are running the show and the administration is weak.
You pay $18-19k for an education (which is ridiculous) and put your kid in with 1400 other kids (which is also ridiculous) you should expect leadership to be there and a mediocre to decent sports program.
You reap what you sow.
Right. Pretty much everything but football. If given the choice I'd rather have the sports programs where they are today vs 20 years ago. I'll take all programs being up and football down any day of the week. Of course it would be nice to have a decent football team to be proud of again. The sports program is still very good; the football program is not.
And will all the games be scheduled for Fridays?Anyone know about next year's schedule? Murderers row again?
Yes.And will all the games be scheduled for Fridays?
Just absurd. That has worked out so well, both for performance and gate revenueYes.
They don't seem to be concerned with gate revenue if they intend to move most home games to Wasmer.Just absurd. That has worked out so well, both for performance and gate revenue
Add Mentor, Ed's, Moeller, Hoban, FB North, the Chiefs, and the Lions, since this year's schedule wasn't tough enough.I know they are playing Pickerington North, Benedictine, and St. X at home next Fall.
I think Canada's a given to be game 10. If they didn't drop them when there were no Harbins at stake, they won't drop them when there are. Perhaps the game with John Marshall, which was supposed to happen this yr. has been postponed a year. Rather they play Marshall than Walsh, as they had to this yr.I heard no more Hoban for next year. I can only hope no more Canada. I would imagine they had a home and home agreement with Dublin Coffman.
I wonder if Glenville takes one of those openings. Upper Arlington may have been a 1 year thing.1. @ Avon

Pick North? Seriously already...I know they are playing Pickerington North, Benedictine, and St. X at home next Fall.
Ok, so, we decided to replace the only win with a tougher away game? That's great. And start a year with 3 away games1. @ Avon

Cleveland CYO football is pretty much dead. That is one of the fundamental issues facing Ignatius these days. They haven't adapted as well as the other catholic schools have to the major and fairly swift decline of CYO. This isn't 1995 anymore. If they could just get rid of the headset brigade on the sidelines, and get back to basic CYO style football, they could be a headache for any other team in the region.
