2024 Northern Lakes League....both divisions

Agree with the others, but I'll say 0.0001%. And Whitmer has the only chance because D2 is better, top to bottom, than D1 this year.

IMO....AW has no shot at beating Avon, Highland, Hoban, Walsh Jesuit and Massillon (among many others). And I didn't even mention possibly the best team in the state in D2, Cincinnati Anderson, who I think might win it all. AW will win 2 playoff games (because their 1st and 2nd round games are cakewalks) and then lose to Highland.
^ This.

Congrats 2 da Blue Streaks. Is Napoleon only team left still playing ball outta the nll Cardinal?
Yes. Nice win but not unexpected as they beat a team that plays a DIV-DVI schedule. Napoleon might be the only team that benefits from the NLL schedule being the smallest school in the league.

BTW congrats to Sandusky and their HC who was named HC in July (I think). The Blue Streak D was coached up and schemed very well forcing three essential pick sixes and 5-6 sacks against a decent QB.
Hell of a turnaround considering Clay handled them fairly easily at the beginning of the season.

Sandusky played them close first half first go-around. Sandusky was without their starting QB and their best dlineman at that time and as mentioned coach had been in the HC role for about a month or so. The Blue Streaks are still a 6-4 team from a largely DIII-DIV league and for as great as I like what their coach has done will lose convincingly to AW next week. Clay played some awful teams. Glad they tossed 7 TDs vs Rogers week 10 instead of working on not having 12 men on punt return. You reap what you sow.

The Aaron kid from Sandusky is pretty special. I'd try to figure out as many ways as I could to get the ball in his hands.

Dear lord...only lile 3 competitive game in all of NW Ohio in the first week? Norwayne-Delta game was incredible, St. Francis game was great too. Basically everything else was done by halftime.

St. Ed is St. Ed but it’s not the same level of their 2022/2023 teams. I really want a Whitmer upset here and I think its feasible.
I don’t exactly think it’s impossible. Driving 2 hours against a Whitmer team that’s only 2 losses are to AW (bad loss but without Napoleon), and a Toledo Central Catholic team that 2 weeks into the season were looking like a 3 peat guarentee. I’d set a spread at 13.5, but wouldn’t count them out

Same argument could be made that Whitmer only played three decent teams all year and lost to two of them.

Was the D lineman suspended?

Pretty much nailed every score except Napoleon. Congrats to the Wildcats, but the fun ends next week vs Perkins.

AW vs highland will be a hell of a physical battle next week

Perrysburg will put up a fight, but St. Edward will put them away in the second half

Ken Winters is the James Franklin of Toledo area football. Beats who they should, but never wins a truly big game…well he beat Central like 7 years ago or something. Panthers can move on or stay mediocre.

Send Kenny home. I'd love to have him coach at the school he graduated from, and lives closest to.

Agree on Napoleon.

I do not think Perrysburg will be able to put up much of a fight.

And yes on Winters, that 2017 win at Central was his last big win.

I've said it before but Connor and Winters can hang out in the NLL, go 7-3/8-2/9-1 every year, make the watered down playoffs (especially DI), win a game or two against subpar opponents finishing 10-2, and keep their jobs. The record looks successful but reality is mediocrity. Whitmer has 5 DI kids starting for them and could not beat AW who, while very well coached, are probably the 11th best team in DII.

Sandusky? Don Paul? Tiffin? Eds traveled very poorly to Whitmer. Maybe 500 fans.

Perrysburg? Clay?

Clay hosted Oak Harbor vs Liberty Center last year so I’m unsure why they wouldn’t this year.

Sandusky for Perrysburg / St Ed’s makes sense. Ross or Clyde will get Eastwood/Edison.

Lake makes sense for Napoleon/Perkins. Perrysburg unavailable. Clay likely getting Oak Harbor/Liberty Center

2 hour drive on a Friday plus being shown online equals small road crowd for the eagles

5 college D1’s and Gucc calling plays, the blame lies where? I loved going to his Start games with Brad Leestma, best ticket in town.
Rossford renewed Drusback Wednesday, looks like his kid saved his job.
SJJ offering a long shot. Ex-TPS coach and present BCSN commentator, his buddy who just resigned will be his DC.
