2024 Massillon Tigers

Seems you left something out. You don't even have the balls to come on here and say that you were wrong. I wouldn't so eagerly call someone out like this but you called me out for simply voicing my concerns, so....better get used to it.
Ohhhh better get used to it 🙄 gtfo.
Again what exactly did you get out of voicing your concerns ? Better yet what exactly do you want ? Because nobody on here is going to give you that.
Hey look at me I’m a fan and I said this and I ended up being right. Congrat you get to tell the family today you were right 🙄
I was right 13 times this year about the same topic, in your mind I should have a gd statue in front of PBTS.

Gloating after a bad loss may help ease your pain this morning, but in fairness it had nothing to do with the "thuggish behavior" you railed on about, that was not the issue. That said I have no explanation for what I just witnessed. Moore or the o-line coach will have to explain. But it would be VERY hard for me not to fire him this morning, because that was the most embarrassing display of OL incompetence (and effort) I have ever witnessed as a Massillon fan. That is what cost us the game. Frankly our whole offensive scheme (line play, and both running and passing attacks) is substandard imo, the talent simply overcomes it - usually.

Reckon Wakefield would want to coach the OL? :stirthepot:

Wow and to think last weekend it was just an argument about too many penalties….

When I discussed penalties I was criticized for being critical of ALL penalties. Yes the thuggish ones pisser me off more than any but I hope at least youre smart enough to know that with or without the thuggery that we usually bring to the table, nobody is sitting here today saying, "oh 24 penalties but only 2 15 yarders....I'm ok with that."

Why are you even bringing this up? I remember you telling me that we all get it and people are tired of hearing about it.

All this negativity and not once saying anything about this years Sr’s or anything positive about the Tigers. That’s what happens when you aren’t a fan and didn’t go to WHS. Loser pos.

Lol, THAT'S what you're concerned with? Me not saying anything about this year's sr's? What do you think that would mean? You think the kids are hanging out today asking each other if they all checked yappi to see who said something about them? If they are talking about what's said on Yappi (trust me, they're not) they're most likely talking about the dumbarse who doesn't think penalties are an important aspect of a football game. That's YOU.

You don’t say anything positive ever about the Tigers but after what I was told this afternoon it’s obvious as to why that is. It reminds me of that pos that used to run the old Massillon proud site, actually you are worse.

Some thoughts on Massillon's postseason. I agree with what seems to be most of the Massillon faithful around here, that penalties were a serious problem for the team all season. That that was the biggest threat to Massillon this post-season. Looks like you were right. 24 penalties last night was simply unacceptable. No way to get around that fact. And its not like this just happened. The tigers were rather undisciplined all season. I do believe that this is something that the program should absolutely address for next season, as it is clearly something that can prevent these otherwise talented and hardworking kids from achieving what they are capable of.

With that being said, I would advise caution on doing anything drastic, like moving on from Coach Moore. Maybe Moore can do more to get these kids to be more disciplined, sure. But moving on from Moore could absolutely backfire. Moore did a lot to bring your program from the Shepas days to where it is today. And without him, Massillon could very easily regress. I recall back in 2017, my Coventry Comets had a nice 8-2 season under Coach Egan. The following couple seasons, they had decent rosters, but were plagued with injuries, and underachieved. Questions were raised about the strength and conditioning. That was contributing to their struggles. So they decided to move on from Egan. Since then we went through a coaching carousel. Coaching instability, plus Covid, plus cutting open enrollment devastated our team. And now our program is a doormat. Lesson here; careful who you move on from...you never know what you have until its gone.

Obviously I know Massillon will never fall anywhere near my Comets. Your community has far too much pride, and support for THAT to happen. But you certainly can fall off significantly. I would NOT recommend dumping Coach Moore.

Coach Moore and his wife will be here as long as they want to be.... You would have to be a world class idjit to call for his job.

For a fanbase that clearly needs some reassurance:

You guys have passion like no other. It's welcome in an era where high school football support is down across the country. You guys filled up Lakewood Stadium this year for the first time in what seems like forever, as the away team. Massillon has a history like no other program in the country.

It's not time for overreactions. Moore is your guy. This is the culmination of the title hangover. Instead of blaming everyone and everything it's time to figure out how it won't happen again. Don't let passion get in the way of that.

If anyone suggest firing coach Moore that would be the most idiotic thing ever said and would prove they are clueless to the game of football. Nate has the most wins in Tiger history and is the best coach since Paul Brown and has led this program to their ONLY playoff title. Without Moore Massillon is still "Paper champs" only. For over 50 years before Moore Massillon has made the title game 3 times in all of their history. In 10 years with Moore 4 times. More title appearances in 10 years than the rest of Massillons history combined. Think about that. Yes the discipline thing makes you scratch your head and I agree it starts at the top but I find it hard to believe that he don't address these issues in practice. A coach of this caliper is not going to just let it go. Maybe he needs to be stricter and give our a harsher punishment but still these kids are to blame too. After being told about it over and over it should stop regardless if they are punished. If not that just means these kids don't think they have to listen or maybe that we have a line full of big dummies that are slow in the head, and I don't think that is it. I think they are just cocky, complacent and entitled. You can't always teach discipline you can enforce it but it's on them the kids to follow through.

we will start to think about next season and talk about who is coming back and kids that will be stepping into starting positions.
WE ARE Massillon ! 🐅
I’m honestly still kinda in shock,
its tough seeing it end every season
Even after winning state I wanted another game
And wondering what next years team is going to be like is stressful lol 😂
I fret over it every year

If I had one ounce of respect for you this statement might bother me.

The other thread was locked before I could respond. You searched my comments from last season? Wow, talk about rent free. Lol.

I dont think this is fair. You weren't here when the trolls would come onto the Massillon threads and bash the program. Guys like Mackinbine, y2h, and....I know I am missing more than a few. Pettimore defended his team and program as much as was his duty.

I’m so deep in his head he actually thought I was one of them a few months back.
It’s absolutely fair, if he can dish it out his princess ego better be able to take it.

Coach Moore and his wife have done so much for this program. As a fan/as a parent, I want them to stay for a while still. What I would simply like to see change is a little bit more team discipline and accountability from the coaches and the players going forward. I know we had a little bit of a hangover from last year. We weren't quite as good as last year either which is ok. Listen not everything is always going to be perfect nor go the way we want it to. But the this is the first time in my life that we have a coach heading into double digits coaching this team. I think it's been a great thing. We just have to adapt and grow. And Nate deserves the opportunity to do just those things I mentioned. We have won a lot of big games since he's been the head coach. I could name them. The teams gpa is outstanding. There's a lot more positives than negatives. We just have to strive to keep pushing forward to be the best we can on the field, off the field, and in the classroom. I'm disappointed for our seniors we aren't playing this weekend but I'm looking forward to the challenges of next year. We played a lot of underclassmen and got a lot of experience for those guys. It's time to just breathe a little bit. Let a month go by and get ready for next year. We're ok guys. The program is in the best shape it's been in years. Let's focus on what has happened positively with this senior class over the last 3 years and for next year get better at some things that need some work. The season ended yesterday not our program. We will be good going forward we still have a lot of talent to work with. Anyway as always Go Tigers! Everyone enjoy your holidays and we can pick back up and talk about 2025 very soon!

Honestly I do miss Mackinbiner though. I know he was a troll. But I honestly thought his schtick was kind of funny.

I really wish he got to be around for Massillon to win its state championship last year.
