😳😳😳 you think JuJu Lewis is average performing like he has against 7A competition in Georgia as a Fr. and Soph. Damnnnnnnnn, not saying you’re wrong and def entitled to your opinion.
I mean I watched him and I'm be honest like he's not a bad quarterback but I kind of get upset because I feel like we have quarterbacks just as good in the state of Ohio but because they're in Ohio and in the midwest they don't get the same exposure that the quarterback's down south get. I watch a lot of high school football and I'm not hating on him at all because I can tell you when I seen Trevor Lawrence you knew he was that guy or Justin Fields I just don't see where all the hype is

Following recruiting over my lifetime 67 years I have seen so many high school quarterbacks who are incredible in high school throwing 65 to 70% 2 and 3 thousand yards a zillion touchdown passes and when they go to college they are busts or average, somewhat above average. Sure some of them do hit big like Trevor Lawrence, Justin Fields, CJ Schroud to name a few. A lot of it is how good is the talent around them along with great coaching to develop them and maximize their talent through game planning, in game adjustments, scheme, fit, philosophy, play calling etc are all important to how good a quarterback becomes.

Fair. Ohio QBs are starting to get a little more love with Brad Maendler and the QBs he trains starting to get some recognition. Lawrence and Fields were special for sure.

Speaking of QB's and because this is the 2024 Massillon Tiger Forum, let's talk about Jalen Slaughter....

.... with the Tiger's receiving corps, Slaughter's gonna be dropping dimes all over the field next year. Gonna be fun to watch.
Would love to see Slaughter get into the weight room and put a few pounds on. We need him to give us a running option to our offense.

Remember when it was hard to gain weight? I could put on 10# by Tuesday.
Yeah I know what you mean. I can put on 10 lbs looking at food. Saw this today while shopping.... 🤣🤣🤣

I think Owens coming here may have benefited Slaughter immensely. The way Slaughter ran in the Anderson game showed more confidence and purpose. I believe Owens won the weight lifting in his weight class that Slaughter had to noticed and thought that was why Owens was so hard to bring down. I hope he does lift and have his best year and bring home 26.

Yup... Him and Manny both could use some more weight.... You never know with teenage boys - some will have growth spurts and get bigger pretty fast and then some can eat and eat and lift like mad and not get much bigger.... Time will tell..... I'm sure they both, along with all the young men will work hard to get bigger and stronger....

I like the fact we have 2 competent qb's. It should allow us the luxury of running the starter a little and not being to concerned about him getting dinged up.

Sincere question and pardon my ignorance, but what's the length of a typical Football banquet? I'd like to think 3 hours is quite impressive
