2024 Ignatius soccer

Why are they playing Sunday night? Such a slap in the face to the kids who worked so hard to get to this stage. Couldn’t imagine having to do that and then get back home and go to school Monday morning.

Ironically, my best friend went to St. Ignatius and played soccer and I went to St. Ed’s to play. We were hated (in a joking way) for not playing in our hometown Avon Lake. Back then, AL had a better soccer program but St. Ignatius was just starting to assert its dominance.

What happened to David Salukombo this year? Did he move, play for some sort of club team or? He was amazingly fast on the left wing as a sophomore last year. I also don’t think he was with Ignatius as a ninth grader.

I had heard he's with the Colorado Rapids Academy, which is part of MLS's development program to provide a pathway for elite youth players to MLS's professional league. The kids on these academy teams train with the MLS pros

There are two more games that are played on Monday afternoon/evening. The joys of the expanded 5 divisions.

Veterans Day on Monday, most kids don’t have school.
