I can't speak for other Jackson fans but I'm gunshy until I see more. There's nothing awful in Jackson's resume, and the stats look good. But what usually happens is they fall into being the Fed's perpetual bronze medalist for one reason or another. Scraping by Mayfield would seem to say we're headed for another 5-5 season, and while I haven't listened to or watched any games this season, there have been odd/bad coaching errors by the Polar Bears that gave away a few games in the past couple years.

I will say I do have a hunch about this one -- the Bears win. They've just simply seen better competition than the Bulldogs and history doesn't back up Green being such a massive favorite in the Fed pick'em. Road team special incoming by 7. Of course any other result wouldn't shock me.
Jackson fans should be very, very proud of tonight's effort. Your guys played well and almost pulled it off. Every game Green has played has been close, and the five teams we've faced have all been pretty evenly matched with us. However, if I had to choose one of Green's five opponents as the "best" one, I'd go with Jackson. I fully expect the Bears to go 6-4 or 5-5 and win a playoff game. Satterfield and Stanley are a terrific RB tandem. Polar Bear defense tackled well and was excellent in coverage. It took Green's best game of the year and a fortunate bounce on the last drive to get the win.

If I were a Jackson fan, I would have nothing negative to say about Rohr tonight. Play calling was fine, Jackson had fewer penalties than Green, and Jackson's kickoff coverage may have been the best I've ever seen from a high school team. Your special teams were outstanding. The Bears certainly did not choke. You're three losses have come against two 5-0 teams and a league rival on the road in front of a loud packed crowd for our homecoming/ youth night. There's no shame in that. Jackson would be 4-1 right now if they'd kept East and Boardman on the schedule, but instead they chose to challenge themselves to get ready for the postseason, which is respectable. Also, tonight was the biggest Jackson crowd I've seen travel to Green going back to when the series began in 2011. Both teams played very well, and it was a shame someone had to lose. Play that game ten times and Jackson wins 5 of them.

I've seen Hoover and Jackson play, and I would give the Bears an 80% chance to win in Week 10. If Jackson plays with the same intensity, they did tonight they'll win at least one of their upcoming contests against Perry and Lake, if not both. All Bears fans should make the trip to Perry next week, I think you'll like what you see.

Good Luck to the Vikings!

Massive game this week for the Bulldogs. Green has a chance to start 3-0 in league play for the first time since 2010, and 5-1 overall for the first time since 2006. Should be another big crowd at Green Memorial Stadium. McKinley fans may want to plan on parking either at Green City Hall on Town Park Blvd or Queen of Heaven Church on the other side of Steese Road.

It should be an exciting and great game. All Green's games are close and this game is at Green.

I parked all the way up at the high school last night and if you're OK to walk a good half mile from there...it was absolutely the right decision. Was seamless getting in and out last night.

You'll have to come in on Boettler, the connecting road between the stadium and high school is not open.

Week 6
McKinley at Green
Jackson at Perry
Glenoak at Hoover
Cleveland JFK at Lake
For what is worth those with Spectrum the GlenOak @ Hoover game is the NEO game on live TV this Friday. I’m sure this game was selected before the season started

Should be another fun night in the Federal League. Looks like there's going to be some heavy rain though. Hopefully it isn't a repeat of Week 3.

Didn't get to see the Dawgs tonight, but I'm ok with the score. Seems like Green gave McKinley all they could handle.
They did give them all they could handle. Green just couldn't get the ball out of their end of the field a lot of the 2nd half and eventually McKinley capitalized on the short fields. Seems like your punting and kicking part of the game was a little off

JMO, but the turning point in the game was down 21-7, Perry forced a Jackson punt on their opening possession of the second half. Austin Mattox on two separate occasions on that drive, threw 2 passes over 30 yards right on the money, 5 yards behind the defenders inside the 15, that were touchdowns, both dropped by Perry. A score there is a big momentum switch. Not saying Perry would have won, but that was big. Then Perry had a chance to cut in the lead with a 56 yard field goal that was long enough but just off the left upright. On the first play from scrimmage, Satterfield races 80 yards for the nail in Perry’s coffin.

Actually it was still 14-7 on that drive. That was right in front of me and the first pass wasn't dropped. It was just probably about 3-4 inches just too far from the WR's fingers.
