We're now one month out from the first Friday of the season.
Been to a few practices. Looks like Wake will be the defensive coordinator for Perry. Seems to be running that side of the ball. We're now one month out from the first Friday of the season.
It sure looks like it.. I would say 80 percent chance of him leading the defense. Are you saying Wakefield will be coaching the defense at perry !!??
He just can't let go.It sure looks like it.. I would say 80 percent chance of him leading the defense.
It’s in his blood! I’m excited to have his experience on the coaching staff. Only if it is for one year.He just can't let go.
So, Ole Wakey would be in charge of stopping the Massillon offense if the two teams should meet in the postseason. InterestingIt sure looks like it.. I would say 80 percent chance of him leading the defense.
I am confident he can like he has before. So, Ole Wakey would be in charge of stopping the Massillon offense if the two teams should meet in the postseason. Interesting

That's good news for the Panthers. Perry's defense has fallen off more than their offense has since Wakefield left.
I'd like to see Perry have a bounce-back year (three straight years in last place for both football and basketball has got to be tough to swallow) but that non-conference schedule will make it difficult. They're going to need to beat either STVM or WGH in week 2 or 3 or it could get ugly for them, with Lake and McKinley on tap for weeks 4 and 5.
With a 3-year starter at QB and so much size at WR, perhaps the Panthers need to- dare I say it- throw the ball more in 2024. The Wing-T has generally worked for Perry over the years, but you've got to tailor the offense to the players you have.
Valid points! But I think the Panthers could very possibly be 4-0 going into McKinley game. That's good news for the Panthers. Perry's defense has fallen off more than their offense has since Wakefield left.

I hope so !It sure looks like it.. I would say 80 percent chance of him leading the defense.
And exactly when did he do this? Anytime recently?I am confident he can like he has before.
They return 9 back on offense and 10 on defense. They did lose #20 the FB to graduation.Outside of Quarterback and some lineman, what does Perry return? Didn’t they lose most of there skill players to either graduation or transfers?
Lost two RB’s, to graduation, but have ample backups. They also return all three receivers. Wolf, Walker and Wilson. The biggest question will be up front on both sides. Not the quantity, which they have, but how much they have improved.Outside of Quarterback and some lineman, what does Perry return? That’s right #25! How did I forget him. Thanks BIG ED.Lost two RB’s, to graduation, but have ample backups. They also return all three receivers. Wolf, Walker and Wilson. The biggest question will be up front on both sides. Not the quantity, which they have, but how much they have improved.
Check your schedule...The Fed did their rotation...Lake and Perry open the Fed season for the next 4 yearsValid points! But I think the Panthers could very possibly be 4-0 going into McKinley
I say 95% chance he is the Head Coach when it is just him and the staff....I hope so !

I do think Lake will take a little step backwards, but I highly doubt they’ll be at 3-7. I’d say 6-4 maybe 5-5 is pretty fair. Streaks will be big on the Oline and stout on the defensive side of the ball. A high octane offense doesn’t seem to be in the cards at least in my opinion.Fed Predictions:
McKinley: 9-1
Hoover: 8-2
Jackson: 7-3
Glenoak: 5-5
Green: 5-5
Perry: 3-7
Lake: 3-7
Perry, I think they have beat them twice in maybe the last 5 years or so... So I'd say they have to be the odds on favorite, and with Wakefield back helping, I like their chances to find some of that old toughness he brought.McKinley is the clear favorite once again, but they've lost one league game each of the past four years. Who is the most likely team to upset the Pups?
Perry is 7-3 against the Bulldogs in the last 10 meetings. Splitting the last 4 meetings 2-2.Perry, I think they have beat them twice in maybe the last 5 years or so... But my gut says GlenOak.

Wakefield back wow! Boys better really buckle up and that is a compliment - great coach!
I also agree - GlenOak has speed to match Pups I think - we'll see eventually
