Any word on who will be coaching freshman football yet? I’m sure summer training will start soon, somebody has to be running the show.
Nie finally retired?Any word on who will be coaching freshman football yet? I’m sure summer training will start soon, somebody has to be running the show.
I had heard Mohs is taking over, Currin will also be an Asst.Any word on who will be coaching freshman football yet? I’m sure summer training will start soon, somebody has to be running the show.
I don’t believe they tried to run anyone off, the exact opposite in fact. They stopped caring about W/L record, and tried to get as many kids as much PT as possible.Hopefully they take a different approach to try to retain players instead of making things as miserable as possible trying to run kids off. Having more kids should be a strength of any program.
Good to hear. I know that wasn't the case 20 or so years ago when a few of my buddies went thru playing football at Elder.I don’t believe they tried to run anyone off, the exact opposite in fact. They stopped caring about W/L record, and tried to get as many kids as much PT as possible.

This is just dumb. They do optional conditioning at practice now. Those who do not want to participate are free to sit in the shade and drink their water and check up on social media. They also will be doing popsicles after practice to retain more players.
I assume this is a joke, but I can’t really tell. They do optional conditioning at practice now. Those who do not want to participate are free to sit in the shade and drink their water and check up on social media. They also will be doing popsicles after practice to retain more players.
They were having a lot of trouble with attrition, particularly the ‘22 class (Ramsey, Hambleton,Harp), where a lot of kids quit after freshman yr. They clearly made a concerted effort with the class of ‘23 to get more kids PT with the hopes of improving retention.Good to hear. That is good news to hear. Roughly how many they have coming out this year? They were having a lot of trouble with attrition, particularly the ‘22 class (Ramsey, Hambleton,Harp), where a lot of kids quit after freshman yr. The last 3 Frosh seasons have been terrible record wise but objectively the only weak class is the current Jrs (‘26). And even they showed a marked improvement on the JV Level.
I have no idea. However, with a class over 250, it would be safe to assume they’re probably going to have 80-90 kids. That is good news to hear. Roughly how many they have coming out this year?
I’ve heard they were good. And I’m sure saying that made Trey throw a violent fit.How is the freshman class looking this year?
Whomever it is would only be starting for 1 yr on Varsity anyway. They probably wouldn’t even be the backup as a Jr, Andriacco is a legit QB behind Estep. I expect he’ll take over the WR/Wildcat QB role, but he throws a really nice ball. They should be at the very least decent. I have no clue however who the QB could possibly be? I can’t think of one from last year.
Who do we is gonna have the best freshman class in the GclWhomever it is would only be starting for 1 yr on Varsity anyway. They probably wouldn’t even be the backup as a Jr, Andriacco is a legit QB behind Estep. I expect he’ll take over the WR/Wildcat QB role, but he throws a really nice ball.
It’s all speculation. I want to see how this class fits with the SophsWho do we is gonna have the best freshman class in the Gcl
I Was at the scrimmage against Lakota West. Ruth looked very well running the ball and the freshman defense looked very strong.Left at half. Elder up 14-0. Frosh look big and well coached. Ruth (Jude) is qb. Throws a nice ball and can run. Defensive front 7 look good. No outstanding running back. Ruth ran a lot of qb draws
Yes. Freshman Ruth is a stud basketball player also.Is Ruth the QB on freshman related to Ruth the WR on varsity?
Does Ruth have the size to potentially play RB? I know Trey will stroke out when I say this, but I feel pretty confident in Estep being at least a 2 yr starter.Left at half. Elder up 14-0. How did the Secondary look? The Sophs already have a very strong Front 7, but they need help at DB.I Was at the scrimmage against Lakota West. Ruth looked very well running the ball and the freshman defense looked very strong.
No he could potentially play WR. He is probably around 6’0 but is very skinny.Does Ruth have the size to potentially play RB? I know Trey will stroke out when I say this, but I feel pretty confident in Estep being at least a 2 yr starter.
Also, I’m not big into the rah rah stuff but both HCs at the lower levels seem to resonate well with the players. Perhaps being younger makes them more relatable.
Db’s were not tested as Elder’s d was swarming. How did the Secondary look? The Sophs already have a very strong Front 7, but they need help at DB.
