2024 Elder Football

JV roster is out. Looks like Estep and Cassaro are full time varsity. Have not been to either scrimmages so could be wrong but OL probably is (L-R) Mckenna, James, ?, Cassaro, Scott. Pretty good size. Interested to see what the WR rotation is. Probably Paff, Re, Ruth, Shavers, and Ross. Maybe Willig used as an all around H-Back.
 
I think it is a tough decision at QB. May end up playing them both. I thought they did a great job last night, throwing, running, decision making. Good night for the Panthers. I know we talk a lot on here about certain players and positions but watching JV and Varsity last night Elder has some really good players in the pipeline. They may not be known yet, but they will be soon. On to Withrow!

Agree. They have a few very good individual skill players but they are a long long way away everywhere else. I can think of more than a few kids who were really good a few years ago who just haven’t developed much in HS at OH. No clue why that is.

Oak Hills had a better team last year in my opinion. I thought Elder looked pretty good last night. I stand by my 7-3 prediction. 7-3 should be good enough for 2 home playoff games.

I don't disagree. The senior probably gets the start. With this schedule they will probably need both anyhow. Hard to make it through a full season healthy.

I’m not trash talking. I’ve made it clear I would never have been good enough to play at Elder. And I’ve also made it clear the players you think I’m trashing, have value. They’re just not in a role that fits their skill set. Unlike 3 years ago when the OL was a major issue, there’s more options to help patch up the issue.

I won’t be turning 40 until the current Freshmen are in their last semester Senior year. Yeah, I guess I’m close if you round up, but I’ve still got a while. And finally, you know I’m not a virgin, you were in the room with me & your wife. BTW, I want that video. I like to analyze my technique like hitters in the MLB.

Is Cassaro playing OL? I could've sworn he was part of the rotation on the DL. I also think Shavers is at CB.

I appreciate Roden's athletic ability, but overall Estep looked better, especially throwing the ball. Who stood out on JV? I saw the last 20 minutes when they basically just ran Craig play after play to run out the clock.
 
Also, what was going on with Kickoffs? They switched Kickers at halftime but were still doing Squibb kicks.

Ugh, really? Other than the usual bitter-cold monsoons that accompany this game every year, I like it being Week 10.

Dad's culb tonight Ramsey announced Guidugli out till payoffs Arnold out for the rest of the season. Doug was very emotional
