The Eastern Buckeye Conference (EBC) Superintendents unanimously voted to increase ticket prices for the upcoming 2024-2025 athletic season. This adjustment, the first in over a decade, reflects the conference’s commitment to maintaining the quality of its high school and middle school athletic programs amid rising operational costs.

Beginning in the 2024-2025 season, ticket prices will be adjusted as follows:

  • High School Athletic Events:
    • General Admission: $8
    • Student Tickets: $5
  • Middle School Athletic Events:
    • General Admission: $6
    • Student Tickets: $3
The decision to raise ticket prices was made after thorough consideration and extensive discussions among conference Superintendents, Athletic Directors, and League Commissioners. This increase will assist in offsetting the rising expenses associated with high school athletics, ensuring that the EBC and its member schools can continue to support and enhance its programs.

“We understand the impact that ticket price increases can have on our fans, and this decision was not made lightly,” said Jim Carmichael, EBC Commissioner. “Ticket prices have remained unchanged for over ten years, and this adjustment is necessary to keep pace with rising costs. Our priority is to ensure that we provide the best possible experience for our student-athletes and fans while continuing to explore alternative funding methods to minimize future price increases.”

The Eastern Buckeye Conference and its member schools remain committed to exploring additional avenues for generating revenue to keep ticket prices as affordable as possible.

West Branch looked really sharp in a 31-14 win over South Range in their second scrimmage in game-like conditions. Junior QB Jeremiah Thomas was impressive running and throwing the football.

I feel like the WB line is too small and the Salem one is too large

They might finish above Salem and Minerva

Did you watch any of the games last year? No bias, no feelings involved. Alliance ran plays for zurbrugg and occasionally handed the ball off. And the defense had trouble stoping the run. It’s not rocket science. The only thing that changed from last year is they lost talent. Not to say they don’t have athletes but that last class was supposed one of their better ones and I think a lot of them had played varsity for at least 3 years

On paper, Triway at Carrollton might be a pick 'em, but the rest of the EBC look like hefty underdogs this week.

Carrollton, which is big on both lines, looked good in winning over a veteran East Liverpool team at Patterson Field Friday night. In particular, they are solid on defense and made excellent adjustments in the second half when they held the Potters scoreless.

I'm a little concerned we can't score points but glad we came away week 1 with a win and mostly healthy
