2024 Cincinnati Bengals

Bengals have all this skill talent: Burrow, Chase, Higgins yet they are 1 - 4. Maybe just maybe there is more to winning football games than having high priced skilled players on offense.

Zac Taylor's record in his 6th season 38 - 48 - 1.

Edit: Do I think the bengals ownership wants to win yes, do they know how to build a team to win no. They just got lucky with Burrow who I think has signed his last contract with the Bengals as Burrow wants to win not be on a 500-football team.

Convinced Jordan Battle slept with Lou A’s wife. No other reason Vonn Bell gets snaps over him. So out of place on that touchdown run.

Barely getting a win over a terrible team missing key players (Thibodeaux, Nabers, Singletary) is a bad omen.

This team just stinks. What we saw tonight was a matchup of two of the worst teams in the league.

The Giants' defense is pretty solid. Burrow getting sacked a season-high 4 times was not by coincidence.

The Giants' offense is a different story as they were clearly missing their only big-play threat in Nabers. They still moved the ball pretty well in the 2nd half and the final stats indicate that it was a pretty even game.

Neither of these teams will likely make the play-offs but they both are definitely not among the worst in the league.

Crapped on him earlier so only fair to give him flowers when he earns it. Jackson McKinnley played well in his limited snaps last night. Lots of burst, good push against IOL and was capable of eating blocks.

The Giants aren’t far from the bottom tier (if they’ve escaped it). I know they have a good D line and a promising rookie WR, but that’s about all they’ve got. And they’re saddled with a terrible starting QB.

The worst tier of teams are the Pats, Panthers, Raiders and Titans. The Giants are straddling the line between that group and the next-worst tier, which would include the underperforming Browns and Jags and the injury-depleted Rams.

I think the Cards and Saints have enough feistiness and offensive upside to clear the Giants.

Hamilton County will “look at how much it will cost and the logistics” of putting a dome on top of Paycor Stadium, according to Chris Wetterich of the CINCINNATI BUSINESS COURIER. County commissioners first raised the idea of putting a dome on the Bengals’ stadium in 2023, “under the theory that a facility with a roof could be used more year-round.” Using the stadium for more than Bengals games is a “top priority” for commissioners as they look at upgrades and explore extending the lease with the team, which expires in 2026. Putting a dome on the stadium “also comes up often” on social media. While the county confirmed it is looking at a dome, it “declined to provide other details, including who it is paying to study it, how much the examination will cost and whether it is a part of the other studies” of Paycor Stadium, including one released on Sept. 17 outlining $1.3B in renovations and the construction of new team facilities to the west of the stadium (CINCINNATI BUSINESS COURIER, 10/16).

What an absolute boondoggle and waste of money. How about building a modern arena as part of the construction around TQL Stadium?

What are all these mythical year-round events that need a domed football stadium in which to occur?

Lucas Oil Stadium hosts more than 200 events per year, which poses a challenge when seeking open dates for concerts.

Considering the history of Hamilton County voters being ripped off by the commissioners and the Brown Family, it is doubtful that such a thing will come to fruition. It's more like a " Let's bid on the Olympics," move. Probably more a political response to the Browns' plan for a domed stadium.

Cincinnati officials this week unveiled a master plan for a $1.25 billion renovation of the Bengals’ Paycor Stadium, and Hamilton County commissioners made one thing clear. If state taxpayers help Clevelanders pay for a stadium, Cincinnati wants its “fair share.”
Hamilton County Commissioner Alicia Reece said she reiterated that message when she met with Gov. Mike DeWine.
“You can’t give everything to Cleveland and leave us with the scraps,” Reece said during Tuesday’s public meeting of the Hamilton County commissioners.

Good luck finding the money:

In twelve seconds. what a joke no way can a person do that. Full pads and not running in a straight line, bumped off balance and they want me to be OK with only 12 seconds off the clock. I going out and do yard work.

Wrong, you are talking world class type athletes. I timed the replay it was 12 seconds.

Edit: We are talking BIG speed not any of that slow SEC crap.

Considering the guy who returned the kickoff runs a 4.4 forty, it is definitely mathematically possible.

And with regarding with pads on, here is the 10 fastest players in 2024 during a game:

What a barn burner for the Bengals Billion dollar offense. I often thank my parents for birthing me when they did. I grew up during the lost decade so I don’t revolve my Sundays around the Bengals. It’s just easier this way.
