2024-2025 Ohio State Basketball

The Buckeyes host the Packers, I mean the Phoenix tonight at 7pm. Go Bucks.

Edit: Stewart apparently will be in uniform tonight.

Yeah, I said Hmmmm …. when posting the OSU statement because I was curious what was going on. Omega was the only one who posted about point shaving.

Do you realize how dumb you sound? AEW Derangement Syndrome to the nth degree.
This person isn’t supposed to be taken seriously. Just a weird troll account

I understand this team is now smaller than anyone they will play this season minus Bradshaw because it’s clear Diebler isn’t going to play Parks or Njegovan meaningful minutes which is an absolute shame because both show potential. Some more red flags with Diebler there fielding such a small team similar to Holtmann.

They also do absolutely nothing about generating offense to attack the basket. It’s just pass the ball around and hope a 3 opens up which is just bad offense.

I mean you were just ripping on a kid who retired from football and voted for Kamala Harris. I don’t put it past you to make up some disgusting stuff considering your scummy character.
Quit lying I was making fun of your stupid posts. you are a pathetic little weasel no wonder why you are a SCUM fan.

This was a seven-point game in the second half, and then the Buckeyes (4-1) used some sweet defense and a lot of offense to dispose of the Phoenix (2-5) by 32 points. Anthony Roy (Oakland, CA) led Green Bay with 30 points. He hit 8-12 threes. Mac Wrecke (Hartland, WI) led the team with 5 boards to go with 8 points, for Ohio State Bruce Thorton (Fairburn, GA) led the way with 25 points and 9 assists. Meechie Johnson Jr. (Cleveland, OH) hit 5-10 three-point baskets on his way to 17 points. Devin Roya (Pickerington) led the team with 11 boards to go with 10 points.

All you do is personally insult people through this forum. That is absolutely acting tough because I don’t believe for one second you would say any of this stuff to me or anyone on here in person. You’re a coward and a worthless troll
Only posters who continually insult OSU. Talking about acting tough you call college athletes garbage, consistently ripping Day, now Diebler. Real easy to do that on a forum, tough guy why don't you go up to Howard or Day face to face and tell them they are garbage or how they suck. Be a man confront them but i doubt if you have the ba***. to do that. You are in Ohio State's house (thread) I am not going to let you piss on OSU and not say anything about it.

For those of you hoping for more childish insults, sorry. I am going to post comments about the team and the game.

- I've been harping on Meechie's turnovers, but he has been better the last 2 games against subpar competition. I hope this continues when the competition improves. The shooting was expected, but glad he is finding the range now.
- Thornton is just an All-America PG. Assist to turnover ratio is through the roof. And last night when the game got close, he simply took over.
- Mobley continues to shoot about 60% from 3-point land. Kid is the best shooter at OSU since Jon Diebler.

The downside is that the 3 guys above are all tiny. Hard to play all 3 together once the competion steps up. I did like Robbie Hummel's comments the other night. Basically, the small OSU lineup will have matchup problems against the bigger teams in the B10, but OSU could turn the tables with quickness and tempo, and cause matchup problems for the big slow teams.

OSU is guard oriented, lead late in the game put the ball in the hands of Thornton, losing get hot from 3 back in the game. However, the Bucks will struggle on the boards, but the up-tempo play is a "godsend" from the last several years.

I think that is their plan. They are going to basically try to out pace and tempo everyone, which will probably have a mixed bag of results IMO. If a big and slow team succeeds in controlling the pace, you’ll probably see more of Parks and the other big kid off the bench.

Ala Alabama, IMO this style is more suited to the tournament than to Big Ten play. We’ll see what happens.

This team really doesn’t play with any speed or pace. All they do is shoot more 3s but they don’t really force the issue in the open court on offense and that’s a killer considering they look like a small MAC team next to Pitt. Diebler did a miserable job in the offseason getting size and length at every position
