I’ve said for awhile to put Bradshaw at the 4 and Stewart at the 5. That’s how you can play them together, Bradshaw is a good enough jump shooter that teams can’t just leave him wide open and he provides length defensively. He isn’t a banger by any means but he’s got good athletic ability for being 7 feet, there aren’t many people like him on the planet. He also provides “some” shot blocking.
John Mobley would need to go back to the bench and he and Thornton would sub for one another with Ques Glover getting spotty minutes (all 3 cannot ever be on the floor at the same time). Mobley getting as many minutes as he does is such a detriment to the team with how small, slow, and weak he is for a high level D1 basketball player.
Njegovan and Parks would be getting more minutes as well. OSU doesn’t have any depth at guard or forward that have great length but they do inside so they would have to use them to offset that.
That automatically changes them from one of the smallest teams in the country to one of the more bigger teams.
Again, this solves the size issue but not rn coaching issues with Diebler which at the end of the day is problem 101 and until they have a coaching there that actually teaches fundamental sound defense with an offense that’s predicated on motion and players picking correctly for one another all of the above points are trivial.
My starting 5 would be
1 - Thornton
2 - Parrish
3 - Royal
4 - Bradshaw
5 - Stewart
