2024-2025 Ohio State Basketball

I’ve said for awhile to put Bradshaw at the 4 and Stewart at the 5. That’s how you can play them together, Bradshaw is a good enough jump shooter that teams can’t just leave him wide open and he provides length defensively. He isn’t a banger by any means but he’s got good athletic ability for being 7 feet, there aren’t many people like him on the planet. He also provides “some” shot blocking.

John Mobley would need to go back to the bench and he and Thornton would sub for one another with Ques Glover getting spotty minutes (all 3 cannot ever be on the floor at the same time). Mobley getting as many minutes as he does is such a detriment to the team with how small, slow, and weak he is for a high level D1 basketball player.

Njegovan and Parks would be getting more minutes as well. OSU doesn’t have any depth at guard or forward that have great length but they do inside so they would have to use them to offset that.

That automatically changes them from one of the smallest teams in the country to one of the more bigger teams.

Again, this solves the size issue but not rn coaching issues with Diebler which at the end of the day is problem 101 and until they have a coaching there that actually teaches fundamental sound defense with an offense that’s predicated on motion and players picking correctly for one another all of the above points are trivial.

My starting 5 would be
1 - Thornton
2 - Parrish
3 - Royal
4 - Bradshaw
5 - Stewart
We don't need to have this full discussion again, but watching Bradshaw just meander around the court like a kid looking for his mommy at the store makes me ill. He is the least aggressive player I have ever seen, and he has no court instincts at all. Yet another game where the 7 footer gets 1 rebound in 15+ minutes. He is not the answer. Size for the sake of size will not win games. I wish every day that he had not come via the portal and Okpara was still here. With Okpara this team is 2-3 wins better, which means 19-12 or 20-11, so a 6 or 7 seed.

You're right, we don't. I wasn't talking to you. You seem to rip on Bradshaw a lot but I would have him starting over Mobley. I agree on Okpara and it was a FAILURE by the administration to hire Diebler when it was assumed he would keep the roster intact when in fact he did not.

Saw a stat that Bradshaw has 4 rebounds in his last 59 minutes. He only averages 2.0 rebounds per game in B1G play. Can you imagine a bigger waste of an NIL bag?

That really sucks. Diebler can only get so lucky. Also find it interesting that the weird amusement park guy never comes on this board when Ohio State loses
Sorry I didn’t comment on a game I didn’t watch. I was enjoying watching my daughter play volleyball. If you are in shock that a team that was road underdog lost, well that’s on you. It’s good to know that you’re thinking of me. Sorry to break your heart, but I don’t swing that way

Excuses, excuses. Sounds like you’re a poor fan and the biggest hypocrite on this board.

Just be thankful I don’t go on your show’s chat and show them all your Ohio State hate. You hate Ohio State. Never have anything good to say about them, yet have an Ohio State podcast? I cheer for Ohio State. Unlike you, who not only hates Ohio State but has admitted to cheering for Michigan. Who’s the hypocrite? We all know the real answer

Yes you should be thankful because you would be exposed for the dense clown that you are.

Morez Johnson Jr. appears to be back for the Illini. 💀
Assuming the Bucks can beat Iowa (far from guaranteed), this could be the KO punch for OSU. I think the Bucks have a fighting chance against the Illini without Johnson.

Only lost by 8 @ Illinois earlier in the year, when Johnson had 14 pts / 15 boards. But OSU shot almost 50% from 3 that game, and Royal had 29 against them. It would take an amazing shooting night to beat them.

Assuming he has some rust, and the game's on a neutral court, perhaps it's competitive. But I view this much the same as you.

This team is SOL next year if he leaves.
Seriuosly?!?! thats how far OSU BB has sunk that you think B Thorton is some sort of demi -God ? Hes a hard nose player but if he did go to a team like BAMA , he wouldnt come close to starting ..hed be 6-7 man maybe off the bench.Hes better off staying st OSU where he can score the majority of the points and maybe get some looks from the Isralei or Greek or London pro leagues .

That's about as ugly a 4 minutes by both teams as you'll ever see.
LEt me ask you a question.Im assuming your a guy who has watched alot of OSU s games . I really have only watched maybe 25% of them and EVERY time I have watch them play they are UGLY . So, if you have watched them alot more ,give me your percentage of UGLY ..its got to be at least 60-70 % of the time

Well, right now they only have four players that are worth a damn…and he’s the best one.

The team as is is not very good, but having to replace him (or Royal) on top of losing Parrish would be a big chunk out of what is currently not a good team. Would have to hit big on a couple players in the portal to replace let alone exceed the loss.

Thornton has 0 NBA future. Hes too slow and lacks explosiveness for being only 6’1. Most NBA point guards are 6’3 in todays game and much quicker than him
