2024-2025 Ohio State Basketball

It’s nice of him to include the local-ish school but it’d be better if he just ripped that bandaid off so OSU could allocate resources on guys they actually have a chance of landing.

The KSU inclusion is interesting though.
They have a solid hoops tradition at KSU, and they love their hoops, but they must have a pile of NIL cash to catch his eye.

But they are a Nike school like Ohio State and USC - Peterson has an NIL deal with adidas. One of the reasons Kansas has been the presumed choice for awhile - blue blood, boat load of cash and an adidas school.

Sorry. I actually forgot that since the mid-1970s shoe companies run college basketball. I’m not kidding, either.

K-State has to have a massive NIL money bag for basketball. Maybe a lot of it is Jerome Tang.

I’d like to be proven wrong, but it would seem the only Adidas school in the finalists here would seem to be very likely to land the recruit that conveniently has an Adidas deal.

My guess - he included K-State just to irk the Jayhawks into giving him a better NIL offer. I'm guessing that Kansas is his preferred destination.

His adidas deal ends when he’s done with high school

Ohio State picked to finish 8th in the Big Ten. Did a little digging and from a recruiting standpoint and no team in the Big Ten has more composite top 100 players going to see meaningful time than Ohio State and this NOT including Taison Chatman.

I didn’t like the Diebler hire but he is better than Holtmann so to be picked to finish that low is laughable.

Agreed. Seems like the backcourt of Thornton, Meechie, Mobley and Glover is small but should be dynamic. I've always had a high opinion of Royal, and the transfers (Bradshaw/Kentucky, Stewart/Duke, Parrish/SDSU) have pedigree and good size up front. Mahaffey is a depth guy now and not a starter (please god).

This roster seems better than 8th, but I guess we will see if they can gel.

OSU is hyper small in the back court but for the first time in a LONG time they are hyper big up front so it offsets that some. The foreign kid they got is every bit of 7’1 (team picture you can tell he’s taller than Bradshaw) and isn’t a stiff. Austin Parks needs to play this season, in the little bit I saw of him last season he impressed me.
