Franklin has the leading receiver , the #1 and # 3 Tacklers, and the sack leader in the league, so it's not all bad!!

UH all time Edgewood leads Fenwick24-13-2, and Fenwick never won a MML championship in all those years. If Fenwick had played Edgewoods schedule this season they would have the same record. Mt Healthy is a very good team and will be a hard out in the playoffs. Edgewood has won the SWOC championship more than any other school including Mt Healthy.
Would have to disagree with you Hoser.

Even healthy, Edgewood wouldn’t stand a chance this year.

The far better 2022 Edgeweed offense produced 3 points against Fenwick last year. Fenwick’s Offense has improved and Defense has held steady. Meanwhile Edgewood is worse in both.

Don’t start talking about football history. Edgewood has ZERO state titles. Only 2 regional titles. Compare that with Fenwick’s 2 state championships and 9 regional Titles.

who do you think Edgewood beats the last five games??

So according to you VV is good because they have a star QB, then if Franklin has the “best player in the league” why are they 1-4??
Valley Views QB is hands down the best player in the league. No debate.

Franklin’s receiver kept the game close to Fenwick this year.

Fenwick knows what it is like to have your best player be a receiver (Jude Hooks) we went 3-6 that year and then moved him to QB and we go 7-4. Only so much a receiver can do, compared to a QB.

One last note to leave you with…. GCL CoED>>>>>>>>>>>SWBL (0 wins against us this year)

Uh exactly what do you disagree with?Uh Fenwick never won a MML championship in many years. Edgewood would kill Fenwick this year.

So based on what i’m seeing…Eaton just barely losing to VV with a backup QB places them at 5th in the league, and puts VV in a league of their own?

We just need to let the season play itself out. Hopefully Atkins will not be out long, but I was encouraged by what I saw from the backup Rogers. The kid has an arm.

I disagree with how you view Edgewood vs. Fenwick. Fenwick would run them off the field. I want an answer to my original question: who does Edgewood beat in these final 5 games??

Wow so enlightening, I would hope so. If a private school conference is below a public, that is what would be embarrassing.
My comments were directed at Hoser, as he stated multiple times that outside of Badin that the GCL CoEd was terrible in the preseason

so thanks for admitting what I said BB.

how to do you think Bellbrook vs. Edgewood is going to turn out Friday?

I think Eaton can play with anyone in the conference if the QB is healthy. I wouldn't be shocked to see them win out. They are going to be a tough out come playoff time.

Same as that powerhouse GCL COED Falcons of last year, that lost to a 6-4 Eaton team in the 1st round of the playoffs 31-28.

Half way through a lot can change in the next few weeks. My rankings would look like this as of right now.

1) Valley View No surprise here.
2) Bellbrook
3) Eaton
4) Waynesville
5) Brookville
6) Edgewood
7) Monroe
8) Ross
9) Madison
10) Oakwood
11) Franklin
12) Carlisle

There will be some teams move up and down this list but as of what I've seen so far this is what I would go with. Some big weeks coming up in SWBL. Right now if I were to bet 10/12 teams will get into playoffs. with Franklin and Carlisle on outside looking in. Both of those teams need to get to 4 wins to try and get in but right now that's a difficult task. Crazy these days teams are getting in with 3/4 wins but that's how they have drawn it up.

I do believe Valley View is on their way to a 10-0 season. But I also stated that I think Eaton is in that second tier with Bellbrook, Brookville, and Waynesville. Between the four of them, we'll see that shake out over the coming weeks. When it's all said and done, I expect Bellbrook to be #2 and could see Eaton as high as 3, as low as 4 or 5.

Agreed. I keep expecting more out of Edgewood, Ross, and Franklin in particular. Now that all three are in league play, we could see them start to have more success. It may start this week with Ross taking on Waynesville, Edgewood facing Bellbrook, and Franklin playing Monroe. I would not be surprised to see Ross, Edgewood, or Franklin win in those matchups. Obviously affecting the rankings moving forward.

Edgewood is struggling, but you cannot underestimate the impact of losing a great coach and two of the best players to a high school team. Place those first three opponents on top of that and the results are no surprise. They are young and will rebound. I can't criticize them though for what they have to deal with.

I wasn’t going to say it earlier but I was sure thinking it 🤨🤨
They are 1-4 primarily due to schedule, which the state said was the 2nd toughest in D-3 in the state. Throw in a couple of injuries to key players and there you have it . Tough loss to CJ when they scored with 36 seconds left. I think Friday the Cats and Hornets will be a slug-fest ! Go Cats!

Agreed. There have been some massive adversity for the cougars. Their DC used to coach at Fenwick, RIP.

Who do you see them beating the rest of the way? Are they in position to get to 5-5?

Week 6:

Edgewood vs Bellbrook-I'll take the Eagles. I think the result of this game will tell a lot about Edgewood from here on out.
Carlisle vs Brookville-The Blue Devils pretty easily.
Madison vs Eaton-If Atkins doesn't play, I think the Mohawks will keep it close. If he does, it's likely a blowout.
Franklin vs Monroe-The Hornets put up almost 500 yards rushing last week. I think they might be finding their identity on offense. I think it will be close, but the Hornets pull away in the 4th quarter.
Oakwood vs Valley View-VV by a bunch
Ross vs Waynesville-I'll take Ross. I think Waynesville will struggle to stop the Ross rushing attack, specifically Caldwell.

Very similar feeling about Monroe. They are currently down 3 of their top 4 ball carriers for the season and are now only starting about 6 or 7 seniors on either side of the ball with 6 or 7 sophomores and 2 freshman starting last week. Tough to criticize under those circumstances, just keep hoping to see some improvements each week.

Not my words about the Franklin kid. You must be thinking about someone else who said that... and if anyone knows anything about football.... a playmaker/star at QB makes a world of difference in your team! Especially in a spread offense. So take out the QB from VV and you get what you get all year long in the first half against Carlisle.

Careful for what you ask for, Franklin is not very good. I see some long years ahead of them. If you can only beat Carlisle that's not saying much about your program. VV is well coached and will be a factor in SWBL for a long while.
oh, agree with this statement 100%. VV should be good for a while since they are on the small side of the SWBL and have a well-established winning culture.

You know why they’re on the small side? Well it’s because all these schools are their size. They also preformed well above average on the other side also, can’t recall a dry spell like franklins been seeing lately.
