You want a different picture that shows contact before the ball got there?

Why are you wound so tight? Relex, dude. It will be OK.
This is the argument - did he drop it, was the throw poor, did Pringle influence the play, or any/all of the above? In my opinion, Pringle sold out and hit the receiver’s legs as the ball got there and caused an incomplete pass. Regardless - game over. Successful defensive play. We’re State Champs you guys, lol.

I get both sides of the argument on PBTS for every game. Eds doesn't have a choice, we take every game we can get (something you guys may end up dealing with soon). But I also agree that Massillon is in the discussion as the premier Ohio program (hard to argue they aren't right now) and they should come up to Lakewood for a game. It would be stupid for Massillon to give up the arrangement as it stands though. I only see a Massillon/Eds game @ Lakewood if you guys are desperate for a game.

If it does happen, the first beer is on me at any of the Madison Ave watering holes.

If we can get a Friday night game I think we wouldn’t mind going up to Lakewood.

As I said just a negative pos. Its funny how you post on this site like you are some big Tiger fan when in fact you are not a Tiger at all. Don’t tell me to relax Have a nice day.
I thought Have a nice day was "good for you" at first and thought it didn't make sense..... then I got it.. duh... hey im 65 and still have the state champ mental hangover....

I know the Lakewood boosters run the concessions during Eds games. I'm sure they wouldn't be upset knowing the stadium would be full on a Friday night for a change. Eds really only plays on Saturdays to avoid any conflicts with Lakewood High. Same thing with Ignatius when they played at Byers (though they play most games on their own campus now). I also think there would be plenty of neutral high school football fans from the Cleveland area there too. It takes about an hour and 15 minutes to get to PBTS for me. And I debate watching on TV when we play you guys, though I usually decide to go. A pregame burger at Joey's Kendall Tavern makes that decision easy.

Can Lombardo politely ask Lakewood’s AD to make sure they are away week 5 lol

Yeah I wouldn't mind that either. I hope we continue the series. I feel like the Ed's game this year really was one a couple games that helped prepare for Hoban. Do I want us to play 10 St Ed type teams? Nope, a ;little too much (well it would be 9 since we play McK) I'd like to drop a couple out of state games and play a Glenville, Mentor, Avon, Painesville Riverside, Hudson, Elder (my first choice because of the pit) or any up and coming D2-D3 teams from ohio.. easier said than done whith conference play.. I do like we play Warren, fitch and Mansfied because of the history and they usually are decent.. I guess Glen Oak too because of the Fed... I know most schools and parents may want a home and home, but I've know quite a players personallythat played a game at Massillon and they wanted to play at PBTG and still mention how cool it was...I wouldn't mind seeing one columbus team like one of the Hilliard schools, or dublin, Pickerington teams.....I know I'm really looking forward to seeing if they can get back there.. It is NEVER easy to win a championship... But we have a lot of pieces in place including a stable coaching staff.. Hopefully they take some time to enjoy and then get back after it.. I read in my local paper today Kirtland had 42 players in the weight room yesterday.. Not sure if those were all undclassman.. but still 42 for a D6 is pretty good...

Joeys has a good steak special, or did.. My buddies always want to hit that place but I finally got them to go to Cameo's.. There's actually a bunch of good places.. I like Smiley's too..

It's actually a funny story about how I ended up at Joey's for the first time. I had a long day at work on a Friday before the 2021 game, missed my carpool ride, but said forget it I'm going anyway. So I drove from downtown Cleveland all the way down to Massillon and got lost (too much pride to use a GPS I guess). I got off at Lake and not Broadway (have no clue what I was thinking). So I'm driving around Massillon, no clue what I'm doing at around 6 PM and said alright I'm going in this place (which was Joeys).

I walked in to ask for directions to the stadium but ended up having a drink and a burger, and I needed both. I missed a little bit of the game but it was worth it. Plenty of laughs all around.

From a Hoban grad and fan congratulations to Massillon . You deserved and earned the championship. I don't get into if this and stats and turnovers, penalties, injuries etc. Those things sometimes go in your favor and sometimes they don't. One of the things I don't like is six weeks of playoffs. The 1st 2 weeks are all blowouts because you have teams with 2 wins in the playoffs. The regular season should mean something and teams should have to earn there way in. 4 weeks is enough. Take the top 4 teams in each reason. This way also you don't have to start the season in the middle of August and run it into December. College football is going to be just as bad starting next year. You are going to get a 12 seed Florida Atlantic playing Georgia in the 1st round and it's going to be 52 to 0 half way through the 3rd quarter.
Pete, First of all congratulations for another fine year. It was finally our time to shine. Also, I do agree that 16 games is too many for these high schoolers. People do not realize how beat to hell they all are. I agree that there should be a total of 8 in each region thus limiting the potential for injuries. See you next year !!

FWIW, I'd still be driving around trying to find Broadway. Is there a Broadway in Massillon?

All I can say is this: I've been drinking beer in the Kendal since before many of you were born. I've put Joey's kids through college. He will vouch for that.

Cameo has changed and seems like they are using frozen beef. Burgers just don't have much favor.

Smiley retired and closed a couple months ago.

I totally get both sides of the arguments but however I do question the fact that when Ed's beat us two years in a row nobody from the Ed's camp said a word about crowd noise or wanting a Home game in Lakewood into Massillon was able to win 2 in a row their self. I absolutely hope the series continue I think it's great for the state and also great for the national recognition for both teams.

This is an absolute fact. I can also vouch for this. LOL.

I honestly don't know if I heard this right but listening to the post game on whbc while trying to get out of the parking lot....they said that Nate Moore and Tom Lombardo are the only two coaches to ever win a championship at two different schools. That just sounds impossible. They also said that Nate Moore is the only coach to ever win a title at a parochial and a public.

Seriously, is this possible that this is true? Did I hear it wrong?

It’s true that they are the only 2 ever. Lombardo in 2001 at Lake Catholic was the other he had.

Congratulations to the Tigers!

In fact, I believe very few coaches have even brought two different schools to the championship game...correct me if I'm wrong (Mo Douglass (Springfield and Trotwood). Anyone else?
