He didn’t beat him out. McElroy got injured. And once healthy McElroy was still the guy they went to in big games (Mck, Green, etc.) when they couldn’t rely on Slaughter.
There’s quite a few Shawn haters on here and around Massillon. He is a bit of a helicopter parent that’s for sure. Nobody disputes his success on the field.
Do you think they put McElroy in the games you mentioned above because of his ability to throw the ball ?

As there should be, if you know how things went down before he took one son and left you would be a hater as well. It’s another example of how parents ruin hs sports because they all think little Johnny is going to get paid to play that sport and for the overwhelming majority it’s not going to happen.

There’s two sides to every story…

I’m not sure how this helps your pro-Slaughter agenda if you’re saying that he was taken out of games to put in a kid who was even worse at passing and made the offense completely one dimensional
Agenda ? Why would it be an agenda when I am able to sit in the stands and it’s crystal clear to me and everyone else who should be the QB and that was proven in the St Ed’s and Fitch games and moving forward.
Because they had success putting McElroy in as a different look for the wildcat package. Not to mention we were down to our what 4th string RB ?

If it was so crystal clear that even fans in the stands could see it then why did it take until week 5 and an injury to McElroy for Slaughter to be put on the field? Slaughter was so clearly the guy that he was essentially taken out of being a factor in the most crucial games of the season?

Talk about an agenda… ?
Talk to the Hoban fans and ask them about his mechanics that haven’t changed, they are already hoping for a new transfer for the 22’ season.
Your anti Crable agenda is much more prevalent than whatever agenda you think I have.

If you think he is so terrible and that McElroy was so clearly the better choice to start the season at QB then why are you still so mad at the Crables?

Its not an anti Crable agenda, Tate is a great player ! It’s how the whole thing was handled it’s a perfect example of what I stated above. Clearly he is better off at Hoban and clearly we are better off with him there.
Now let’s BEAT MOELLER !!!

Like McElroy, but we don't beat Fitch with him at QB Slaughter was why we beat Fitch.

I had Elwood Kammer as a driving teacher in 1971 at Massillon. Had Augie Mornistar as a principle. At the time i didn't know the impact they had on Massillon football. Same with Rocky Snyder 8th grade coach. Red Henderson science teacher in 9th grade. None of them would take any crap from anyone. You either behaved or you got the paddle. It only took once and you got the message.

We are blessed to have such a rich history. Our hallmark stadium,,generational fan base and continually striving for excellence has made Massillon unique throughout the nation. I got to know Augie after he retired but had know idea he was such an athlete as well as instrumental as a coach. Same with Red Henderson. He played for the Massillon professional Tigers. He would tell me stories of playing with Jim Thorpe. It doesn't get any more real than that.

This century not counting 2020 (Covid) the Tigers avg 7 home games a year, so it’s not a surprise and nobody should be shocked.

can you guys move your Moeller game to Saturday so others can go? :ROFLMAO::ROFLMAO::ROFLMAO::ROFLMAO:
I miss being able to go to McK games on Friday and Massillon games on Saturday or the other way around! Don't want to miss out on Moeller at Massillon since McK will be up at Mentor!!
Having our game with Moeller on Saturday IMPO will generate a bigger crowd then a Friday game.

I'm feeling that our kicking game should be improved with our freshman kicker coming back and from what I hear, David Abdul is working with him. I am not knowledgeable enough to comment on our punting game.I
I apologize on the wrong name I heard working with freshman kicker; heard it was Andrew David and not David Abdul.
