2022 Cleveland Browns Thread

Each NFL team is allowed to bring in up to 30 players for a pre draft visit at the teams expense. List of players by team:

Looks like the Steelers had about 60 unless the list forgot to put a heading for whatever team comes after the Steelers alphabetically.

I believe the Steelers did bring in that many. Local universities near each NFL team dies count as a visit - example: Pitt and Penn State do not count towards the Steelers total. The Steelers GM & HC Tomlin often go to most of the college Pro Days as well.

Both sides probably wanted to get the name changed in light of the scandal and federal charges against First Energy. The Browns will find a new sponsor and re-name the stadium in the not too distant future. Might I suggest Preparation H Stadium or Lume Field?

It makes me of the old joke about when Abe Polian decided to take the objectionable part out of the Washington Bullets team name, henceforth renaming them just "the Bullets."

The Chargers played in that 27K capacity soccer stadium while SoFi was under construction so I guess anything is possible. I suspect it comes down to whatever is palatable for the owner.

For what it is worth, Infocision in Akron (27 to 30K) is a little bit larger than Benson (27K). Haslam is already connected to Columbus through the Crew so that's probably the most realistic option.

Browns to relocate during construction?

First of all, it's Athlon Sports. Likely unsubstantiated.

Secondly, IF it is a valid story, it could just be Haslam trying to scare Cleveland into some concessions, whatever those might be.

Finally, even if renovations are major there is no way it takes 3 years, unless it's just two guys sharing a Craftsman toolbox. Let's say it is an 18 month project. You start in February after a season ends, you relocate for the next season, and finish in August the next year.

I live in Central OH and would love it, but I'll be stunned if this comes to pass.

What are the Browns needs going into tonight? What position group would they love to add to in the 3rd round? Any chance for a trade up?

they have 8 picks, they either use some of them to move up or use some of them to get extra draft picks for next year, feel the need toto get depth at DE, OFF Line, Safety..... Maybe a Big type of RB

Ehhh. Kinda hurt to see the super fast Tennessee WR Hyatt go right before the Browns. Feels like the Browns got the consolation prize…another slow WR.
