In D1 Cincy, I think Sycamore is the team to beat followed by Lakota East. Outside of the top 2-3, some of these teams are probably inter-changeable. Not sure there's a stand-out best team this year, but I'd say the GMC is stronger than the GCL:

Sycamore
LE
Princeton
LW
Moeller
Middletown
Turpin
Elder
Fairfield
Mason
St X

Maybe to get the ball rolling in this thread, who would you have as the #1 overall team in Division I?

In no world will Sycamore / LE be better than Moeller in basketball.

They both were better than Moeller last year IMO ... why not this year?
I do think Moeller will have a pretty good squad (GCL favorites in my book), but I would favor Sycamore in a game against them this year.. East as well, but not as confident on that one because I'm not sure they have the rim protection.

Pick Central will be a load again for sure. I will go with Centerville as my preseason pick. St Ignatius, Moeller, St V, and St Eds will be really good too.

St. Ed's lost Bova, Zion Freer-Brown and one other player who's name escapes me at the moment. They will be young and I do not see them making a deep run this year. Hope I am wrong though.

Moeller isn’t top 10 in the state, maybe top 5 in Cincy. It’s a coin flip in the GCLS between Moe and Elder. Sycamore on paper is the team to beat out of Cincy.

I just don't think Moeller is getting those "guys" they used to get and that is why they aren't state title contenders.

Not a down year but will be similar to last season. They are not a state contender, I see their ceiling as a District game possible a Regional Semi with the right draw. Again that's still a good/great year.
I see what your saying it'll depend on the development of McBride and Land and if they will be able to propel the team forward

I think they are 1 year away from being State Contenders for another 3/4 years. They have some dudes coming in and at the younger levels.

Yes, Moeller has a great group of prospects in the 2025 (sophomores) class. 2025 is a deep & talented group of players in the Southwest Ohio area. We'll get to see a lot of them this year at the varsity level.
