Here are the pools, along with the schedule for Saturday Morning's Pool Play:

Pool A
A1 - Centerville
A2 - Jackson
A3 - LaSalle
A4 - Dublin Coffman

Pool B
B1 - Archbishop Alter
B2 - Westerville South
B3 - St Francis DeSales
B4 - Stow-Munroe Falls

Pool C
C1 - Elder
C2 - St Ignatius
C3 - Hilliard Davidson
C4 - Archbishop McNicholas

Pool D
D1 - Walsh Jesuit
D2 - Archbishop Moeller
D3 - Northmont
D4 - Hilliard Bradley

Schedule:
8:00 - 1v3
8:45 - 2v4
9:30 - 1v4
10:15 - 2v3
11:00 - 3v4
11:45 - 1v2

Brackets are set up as follows, looks like each team will be guaranteed 2 matches in bracket play:

Gold Bracket
1st A vs. 2nd D
1st B vs. 2nd C
1st C vs. 2nd B
1st D vs. 2nd A

Silver Bracket
3rd A vs. 4th D
3rd B vs. 4th C
3rd C vs. 4th B
3rd D vs. 4th A

It doesn't say if the tournament play is best of 3 or best of 5, so I am going off the assumption it is best of 5

Gold Bracket
Centerville vs. Walsh Centerville in 5
Alter vs. Ignatius Alter in 4
Elder vs. Westerville South Elder in 3
Moeller vs. LaSalle Moeller in 3

Second Round

Centerville over Alter in 4
Elder over Moeller in 5

Finals

Elder over Centerville in 4

These are all guesses, I would expect a lot of VERY tight matches with only Elder walking through both pool play and their first round matchup. The Moeller vs Walsh match in pool play is another one to keep an eye on. Good luck to all teams involved! Sounds like a great tournament for an even better cause!

Coffman will beat out LaSalle for the 2 seed in that bracket. I think Walsh and Moeller are switched for seeding. So I go...

Centerville vs. Moeller Centerville in 5
Alter vs. Ignatius Alter in 3
Elder vs. Westerville South Elder in 4
Walsh vs. Coffman Walsh in 3

Centerville vs Alter Centerville in 4
Elder vs Walsh toss up... Elder in 5

Elder vs Centerville Centerville in 5

Of course, the team I have winning it all could very well lose in the first round of gold. We shall see.

I know St Eds is way down, but Jackson just beat them last weekend. The second spot in Pool A really is up for grabs between all 3 teams IMO.

I think DeSales takes down Westerville South for the 2nd spot in Pool B.

Elder may struggle playing Davidson in match 1. They have the drive factor and you never know who will come ready to play at 8am.

Walsh and Moe should be a great matchup especially considering the result WJ had over X last weekend. Moeller visits X tonight, a win could launch them into this tournament with a lot of momentum.

My predictions for this weekend:

Centerville vs. Walsh Jesuit - WJ in 5
Archbishop Alter vs. St Ignatius - Alter in 4
Elder vs. St Francis DeSales - Elder in 3
Moeller vs. Coffman - Moe in 3

Walsh over Alter in 5
Moeller over Elder in 4

Moeller over Walsh in 4

Centerville vs. Walsh Jesuit - WJ in 4
Archbishop Alter vs. St Ignatius - St Ignatius in 4
Elder vs. Westerville South- Elder in 3
Moeller vs. Coffman - Moeller in 3

Walsh over St Ignatius in 3
Moeller over Elder in 4

Moeller over Walsh in 5

I think Centerville and Elder will win their pools. The other two are up for grabs as tough matches of Walsh vs Moeller and Alter vs Westerville South. Davidson vs St. Iggy another interesting matchup.

Centerville vs Walsh - Walsh in 5
Alter vs St. Iggy - Alter in 3
Elder vs Westerville South - Elder in 3
Moeller vs LaSalle - Moeller in 3

Alter over Walsh in 4
Moeller over Elder in 4

Moeller over Alter in 3

Gold Bracket
Centerville vs. Moeller Moeller in 5
Alter vs. Ignatius Alter in 4
Elder vs. Westerville South Elder in 3
Walsh vs. Coffman Walsh in 3

Semis
Moeller vs Alter Moeller in 5
Elder vs Walsh Walsh in 4

Finals
Moeller vs Walsh Moeller in 4

I think the matches will be best 2 out of 3 though; 3 full matches seem like way too much, and also each match is supposed to be an hour.

First big upset in Pool Play as Coffman takes both games from Centerville, but then the Rocks turn around and lose to Jackson.

This tournament has shown Darby is definitely the team to beat in the state. @Outworker.

If Darby wins the Centerville tournament, I will be convinced they should be #1 in state, but right Moeller is #1 in my opinion now.

Darby beat Moeller at their place 7 days ago. I think Moeller is only stronger at two positions. Libero, and second OH.

Not sure how that's the obvious conclusion when Darby didn't play in the tournament. Moeller is the hottest team right now based on their last week and a half (beating Alter twice, Centerville X, Elder and Walsh). Sure they lost to Darby but those wins coupled with the fact that Darby hasn't played the caliber of in-state teams yet and I can't see how Moe isn't #1 on Monday.

Have you seen Junior Chas Cook put in a shift on the bench? Nobody better in the state at lighting a spark under their team. Can't measure heart. Combine that with manager Brad Buller's genius tactics and unrivaled work behind the scenes in the film room and I'd say they are the team to beat in Ohio.

My rankings:
1. Moeller
2. Darby
3. Elder
4. St. Xavier
5. Centerville

Moeller shows its dominance in a big win at this tourney. ANOTHA ONE, and ANOTHA ONE. David wernery for president, Chad mustard is the best setter in the state and Brad buller is the spark

Still... It seems like Darby's 4-set win at Moeller last week should give them a slight nod just for now. As long as they haven't lost an in-state game, they shouldn't be penalized for their schedule. Might've been more inclined to agree had Darby won a 5-set match in Hilliard. With the Centerville tournament looming next weekend, the debate probably isn't worth the effort, though. :D
