After making a good showing last year and being Regional runner ups, the Highlanders will look to improve their team from last year. Losing Austin Anderson and Alex Grote will be tough loses, but there will still be some good players to pick up the slack.

Tim Laib (OH), when on his game mentally and physically, is a POY candidate. He will have to play smart and serve as a good leader on this team. Also, Eric Schneider (MB) and Owen Appiarius (OH) will have to keep improving in order to keep this team a contender.

Tryouts are the first or second week of March.

Roster is as follows:

Seniors
Randy Hager
Alec Krummen
Tim Laib
Dylan Miller
Eric Scheider

Juniors
Owen Appiarius
Ryan Brussard
Brayden Miller
Anthony Papathanas
Robbie Ramsey
Tommy Cecil
Nick Osterman

Sophomores
Alex Anderson
Keith Kaiser

Alumni Match is tonight at 630 where the varsity team will play the recent alumni. It should be a fun time.

For those who have not been to a game, this would be a great time to give it a go and see what mens volleyball is all about

First match of the year is a home match against Gahanna Lincoln on Saturday. Come out and support the JV and Varsity teams as they begin their quest for the title!

Oak Hill's volleyball website

Any chance that the website get up dated ? Still has info from 2 years ago.

The Highlanders took one on the chin last night at Fenwick. JV losing 9-25, 16-25 and varsity losing 20-25, 22-25, 24-26. Looked like the Highlanders were not fully prepared mentally to take on the fast offense that Fenwick provided.

Quick turnaround for the volleyballers as they play Colerain at home. Look for a 180 in not only mentality, but focus as well.

The volleyballers have turned it around, posting a 2 game winning streak (Milford and Hamilton) going into their first GMC match of the year. The have Middletown at home tonight, starting at 7pm.

Team leaders through 7 matches

Laib - 94 kills, 60 digs, 12 aces,

Congrats to these guys in their successful seasons

Oak Hills takes Fairfield out of the tournament with a 3-1 win last night @ Fairfield. THe Highlanders avenge their mid season loss to Fairfield with a well fought, 25-23, 13-25, 25-22, 25-19 score.

They will move on to face St. Xavier in the Regional Finals @ McNicholas High school on Saturday @ 5:30pm.

This is the 2nd time in program history, also in as many years, that the Highlanders have made it to the Regional Finals.

Congrats to the guys

The Highlanders season ended over the weekend after taking the #1 team in the state, St Xavier, through a well fought regional final match. The Bombers took out the Highlanders in straight sets, 25-22, 25-11, 25-22, ending the Highlanders hopes for making it to States for the first time in program history. Though the previously mentioned history was not made, other history was made for the volleyball team. This is the first and only time that the volleyball team has made it to back to back Regional finals. Going in the right direction

Congratulations to the team!
