2010 season

i heard the weatherman's son has been a little "under the weather." apparently he is going to mexico to regroup his thoughts and his tennis elbow. we can only hope that he can find love for the game and love of another sort to recapture a summit MVC title

Cincysportsnut, that would be one of the biggest upsets of recent years in the GCL. You must be associated with the team as either a player or parent.
Good luck

Lakota East Is #1
Cincy St. X Is 1a

& Then Theres The Rest Of Everybody... ---- This Year We Might Actually See Somebody From The North East Ohio Actually Get To A Semi Final In D1...... Hmmmm Doubt It.. Sw Ohio Again Will Reign...

East Wins The Gmc Followed By Sycamore & West
St. X Wins The Gcl Followed By Moeller & Lasalle (but Who Cares About The Gcl After X)
Ryan Bandy, Zach Mueck Or Chris Diaz State Finals: Zach Mueck State Champ
Doubles Hmmmm Dnt Knw About That One @ All... Doubles Is Always A Mystery!!!!

So what does Middletown do this year? They had a couple of decent years. Any up and comers? returning talent?

I am impressed inbetween, you follow them all. Until someone tells me different, I don't think the Middies have much this year. Most people don't know that Middletown was a big time youth tennis town (1940's-1990's).

I'd put money on Elder coming in 2nd in the GCL..Drew Schroeder and Danny James are good solid players..not sure who their 3rd singles player is though. I know their doubles pairs are solid too.

2cool4school. ive heard the same thing about the superstar Weatherman Son. I think the trip to mexico, along with other outlets for his frustration will really elevate his game for the twenty ten season. He could be the truth for the knights squad this season. looking for big things.

Sauce Out.

thats not surprising for middletown not to have 7 kids. ITS MIDDLETOWN. @ one point in time I do remember Middletown being a great tennis town. The Middletown Tennis Club use to be hopping. Now its the base of a charter school. Middletown will always always be a BASKETBALL, TRACK & FOOTBALL school. Tennis takes a lot of MONEY & is a very affluent sport. Two things that don't go with middletown these days is affluencey & MONEY. That town is hurting and I hope it can bounce back. I still to this day have no idea how they won a state championship a few years ago. Coach TURNER does not have the same luxuries as say a SYCAMORE, LAKOTAS, or MASON!!!!!

Moeller no doubt will beat X, Lakota, every other GCL team. Get out the way. Ahmed Zaman will win state. Moeller will win state.

Not much action on this thread, but I thought I would give it a try. Does anybody have any idea where I can find the opening round Division II SW Ohio bracket that includes Bishop Fenwick? Fenwick is supposedly DII in Mason's bracket. I tried the SWDAB site and they have a lot of the brackets posted, but not the DII Mason bracket with Fenwick. If you click the DII Mason bracket, as posted on their site, you end up getting the Centerville bracket (with Alter, etc.). I have also written an e-mail to the SWDAB e-mail given on their site and have no response. The entire bracket seems to be missing. What gives? Maybe nobody cares.

Thanks COFan for responding that Bishop Fenwick tennis is in Mason DII, which started Thursday (yesterday). Unfortunately that did me no good, as today is Friday. I even e-mailed SWDAB's "esmacklin" (I think that was his/her name) and OHSAA and they didn't seem to really care too much. Last week, I got some feeble excuse that it would all be corrected and brackets would be posted on Monday (4 days ago). It wasn't. Just lip service from OHSAA and SWDAB.
Did Fenwick even get to play or were they DQ'd for some reason? Answers would be nice, although it's probably too late to watch them play, if they even did.

EDITED 5/17: OHSAA/SWDAB has finally posted some info on the Mason DII. Congrats to the Fenwick boys for another great performance.
