There's always been alot of coolness about the Wildcats. It goes back to the Whodat in 1984. I was at Horace Mann that year. We made a Whodat banner that was sent to SHS before the tournament started.

I got to go in the dome my senior year for yearbook staff. It was like being in a time machine. Everything there was like from the 1940s or before. There's so much history there. That building and dome were light years before their time

I went to another school, my grandma went there when it was Springfield High. Before it became Springfield South.

What school did you attend? When I first moved to Springfield, I met older people in my neighborhood who remembered the dome and St Ray's being built and under construction. St Ray's was built in 1892. The dome was built in 1910.
