1932 Olympics video - Ohioans

Came across this yesterday...nice video on some of the 1932 Olympic T&F action including a few Ohioans.

) - 100m - George Simpson (Columbus East/Ohio State) winning one of his heats in the 100m. Simpson was the 1926 Class A 100yd Ohio champ. He also set a world record in the 100yd (9.4, 1929) that was never ratified as the rules at the time did not allow for use of starting blocks. George would go onto place 4th in the '32 100m (10.5 / 10.53) and won the Silver in the 200m (21.4).

) - John Anderson (Cincinnati Hughes/Cornell Univ.) is shown in the discus. He won the Gold in 1932 after placing 5th in the '28 Games.
