11/12 Central District

trying to get some conversation on here about the swim season since it is just two weeks away. the central district should be clear cut 1 (ua) and 2 (sc) can sc give them a run and who will be 3rd? really no clear cut teams (new albany, coffman, jerome)...here are my event predictions

mr-ua
200-long
im-dipietro maybe reardon or higdon
50-jake moore
fly-higdon, jelen, griffith, barton (wiiiide open)
100-moore of rabe
500-long
200 fr r-ua
back-trace, neri, dipietro, jelen
breast-cochran, mckinley, reardon
400 fr r-ua

thoughts and comments any disagreements?
 
 
Team wise UA wins easily. St. Charles' a comfortable 2nd. Battle for 3rd is more competitive, but looks like Thomas has the most back. Of course the unknown is the freshmen impact on the team race. I don't see it effecting UA & St. Charles as they are significantly stronger then the rest of the field and often they have the best freshmen. But a strong freshman group could effect who finishes third.

Who will be an impact freshman? Any ideas?
 
i believe thomas lost 2 brothers the caraballo's preeder is this correct, i thought i heard they moved or something

True, the Caraballo brothers moved to Oxford and are swimming for Tallawanda High School. I just don't see Thomas being in the hunt at the district level.

However, I think that Kilbourne's Keeler Callahan is a shot at the 100 and probably second in the 200. This depends on Jake Moore's choice. Moore should win the 50, but he can also win the 100 free or the 100 fly. Although back to back events are impossible. Callahan went 47.4 I believe at the senior meet in the 100 which was faster than Moore and Martin.

It is too bad that this is a boys swim forum, I only have a girl left in the race now!

Looks to be a faster year for the Central District. Comparing times to last year at this time and they are faster at the top and the bottom in nearly every event.
